Can explain how to let the game run on one core pls ?
Thanks.

Open the game and then minimize to desktop and open your task manager.  Can be done by right clicking on the taskbar and clicking task manager.

Under the Processes tab look for daorigins.exe .  Right click on it and select Set Affinity.  For Dual Cores try unselecting one of the CPUs .  If one doesn't fix it, then go back and try the other.  Same applies for quads.  Just unselect 2 cores ( or 4 if you have an i7 with hyperthreading )

If it fixes it you can use a program like http://www.bitsum.com/prolasso.php to automatically disable cores if you would like.

In a world filled with dual core processors and more, it saddens me how many new release games have similar problems as this. Shoddy programming at its best.

Bioware is currently working on a fix for it. There is a stickied topic above that reports their requiring of information related to it. If you wish to help out post your system specs and details about how the problem affects you there.

do people not read? there's no leak... it's a verified processor problem

So if it is so, then maybe you can provide any info on fixing this issue? Since you don't I will stick with a memory leak theory and try to fix this.
PS. I am running AMD Phenom X3 (triple core)
Edit: never mind, I have tried what was here:
http://social.biowar...58/index/156838
and now my problems are gone and overall perfomance inrcreased by over at least 300%. So Jiron, you were completely right, just I think you should have provided this or other link to help people solve their problems.
So to anyone having triple and dual core processors: Yes it works pefectly
