Excellent, mr. _six! I love the beamwork especially, being a real-life construction worker. You may want to consider some wooden pegs at key locations, but that's quibbling indeed. Very nice!

Excellent. Can't quite tell from this angle of view, is that multi-level?

Yes:

The balconies are placed by using Raise/Lower at the edge of a room made from the Hall terrain. So you can string together different level rooms and corridors using the Door crosser in a relatively small amount of space. I should point out as well that in this screenshot tilefade is turned on, hiding the top half of same walls.

Anyway, merry christmas or equivalent. Who knows, by the time I log in here again I might have a belated present to give...

Thanks, all!

I'm just poking a fun jab at you here but you know I need to ask.

Does this tileset make use of MAIN LIGHT 1 & 2 for TILE PROPERTIES?

Now that introductions are out of the way...

How does one get up to the hallways above? I don't see any winding staircase or entry point from the rooms below. Stairs attached to the wall of the room below going right up to the hallway above would be great, to save room. Corner stairs or wall stairs tile option.

Great job!

FP!

Joyously, this one actually does!

Stairs are actually a problem I've been having. Because of the location of the vertical supports on the tiles, it'd actually take two full tiles to add a staircase down on the outside of the room (ie as an alcove leading up to the balcony), which means any room with stairs would have to be four tiles wide, equating to 30 metres minimum space. So after much messing around with that, I've decided the best solution would be to have a grand sorta double set of stairs as a feature within the main room space. If that makes any sense at all. Suffice to say it should look pretty good when it's finished.

There's also going to be stairs on the Corridor crosser as well, so you can also link up to balconies by having a connecting corridor just outside the room. Those should be pretty simple to implement once I've actually made the Corridor to begin with.

Heh, it's actually been just over a year since I put the first few tiles together. You have Tom_Banjo to thank for persuading me to try and finish it - spur of the moment kind of thing.

After much accidental loss of and being forced to recreate files (and gnashing of teeth), we have stairs!

Curses on the data loss. Hurrah for stairs! They look very nice: broad, so there's lots of room for many people going up and down, or even dramatic battles on stairs! I'm doubtful about the very top of them, though. I mean, it looks like a step goes up just before one starts going down the stairs. Doesn't seem like a very logical way of building it - a bit of a tripping hazard!

it appears more of a landing to me, meaning you go up the main stairs , then have a littlelanding with two more stairs 'up' to get to the edge walkways.

It was made by elves and humans and not good old reliable Dwarvish Craftmanship is the problem....

I like those steps with the small step up landing. I think they are fine for any fantasy module. Now in a D20 module I'd roll up a PC with the PrC class "Lawyer" and sue the Admin and DMS. :P

It's not the extra step at the left, right, and top sides of that square that bothers me, but rather the extra step at the bottom, leading on to the main downwards stairs. It could be a function of the picture being a bit zoomed out, but it looks to me like a step goes up before the rest go down. That's all. :-)

Oh, I think that's just the screenshot playing tricks. I think what you can see there is actually just the edge of the carpet design.

Very nice work, six. I would love to get my hands on that tileset and use it. I'd be able to drop nwncq's rural interiors from my mod. Wow. Its like Versatile dungeons for rural interiors. Awesome stuff.

About that landing. I too worked years in construction, and have a bit of a quibble about that landing at the top of the stairs. Constructing it that way would be more expensive, and would more likely happen in a retrofit working around existing conditions.

But who cares? The landing looks cool! :)

Great work as always.I think I'm finally convinced to use custom haks and remove part of the CEP.
