Seriously, I like her just as much as the next guy, but in all of her concept art, or box art she looks like a major BABE, and then in game she looks pretty bland, especially her face, where she has quite a masculine element.

I know its not a big deal and they probably wont change it, hell Im not even sure theyll bring her back in ME3.

but still, unless you really really like her personality, her looks are definitely not gonna entice me to keep her over Liara, Tali or especially Mirandas "genetically enhanced" ... features. ;)

Please don't hate on my appraisal of Ashley's looks, Im not saying shes ugly, just that they could have made her as hot as she is in her art pics and box art. Not to mention with that voice I would have liked her to have a prettier face.

What do you all think?

We all think you need to stop masterbating and meet some real girls. Ashley is cute like a real girl cute, not a plastic doll.

I think she's perfectly attractive. My issue is how she quotes the worst possible poetry for a given situation--it creeps me out.

I'm not sure how you can think this isn't an inflammatory thing to ask.
Whether Ashley is "attractive" or not by any standards is thoroughly irrelevant. She looks the way she looks and no superficial outcry will change that.
And personally, I happen to find her the most attractive human squad member in either game, save only Jack.

I too don't find her particularly attractive. Not my type. At all.

Honestly, I like that Ashley's face has character - she looks like a real person. Plus I can see where you're coming from, but there's also something to be said for... you know... soldiers generally not looking like supermodels. I know it's only a videogame, and Mass Effect is as guilty as anyone of oversexing all of its characters (not just the females), but that's why it's especially cool that one of its major female characters looks reasonably realistic.

Aside from the limits of video games, her hair does no favors for her. I really think, even if it's kept in a bun, BioWare could give her a more flattering style.

Just like Miranda. They'd both look much better with a better hairstyle.

I like how you can point that out to her at one point.

Heaven forbid a woman think about something other than whether or not her hair makes her look hot.

She's beautiful the way she is.

Although I think she'd look even better with her hair down :)

She is a soldier on duty, probably regulation.

I agree with the OP, especially the "masculine" part. Ashley Williams is actually the name of a male character in the movie Evil Dead, so I don't think it's accidental.

It's not so bad. Try comparing ingame leliana in DAO with the one in the sacred ashes trailer.

She's way hotter in the trailer :P

Which begs the question; why should an alliance soldier wear her hair down? It makes perfect sense the way it is. And for that matter, looks smokin'.

She's attractive. She looks like a woman, not a barely-legal girl.

Sexual attraction based on physical looks is human nature. Please don't try to make a feminist issue out of it.

It's still just a game. We're not really going for realism here...

Common sense based on rational thought is human nature. Please don't try to make a male chauvinist issue out of it.

See? I can play that game too.

I'm saying it's common sense to see that it isn't somehow a female obligation to make oneself "sexually attractive" for anyones convenience.
