Ashley has good angles and not as good angles, but there is something refreshingly real about her appearance, even her low-res ME2 incarnation.

In regards to the original post...her looks ARE a part of why I chose her over the others for my male Shepard. I like all the females just fine, but she has an earthy, non-intimidating air about her. She's...pretty in a gettable way, you could say.

And not to reveal my complete and utter favoritism, but you make it seems like the other girls are irrefutably prettier. I think Jack and Tali are cute, but...not in the conventional sense, clearly not what everyone would go for.

As for Miranda...I could just as easily make the argument that she's TOO perfect. Her features are unnaturally symmetrical, it can be... off-putting.

Of course, I lack a male perspective and am completely biased, so there's that.

I think Ashley is in the same range of attractiveness compared to other female characters, it all comes down to personal taste. I will however say that there is a scene on Horizon when she confront you, one of the camera angle makes her eyes look really awkward, I played the game couple times and that still bothers me.

I totally dig her armor tho, it's both hot and combat effective, much better than the one piece Miranda wears.

I dont dig her armor nor any females... I dont know why I rather see females with chest pieces like Kat's... or any spartan for that matter triangular to increase deflection.... best example I always give Samus chest piece. Triangular effective, and awesome looking. Once she dons the mask your are none the wiser to her gender. That is what bioware should do. Once everyone has their helmets... you should not be able to tell who is male or female.

Now yes there should be just an option saying "do you want triangular chest piece or accomodating chest piece" and there u go you satisfy everyone.

She's attractive. She looks like a woman, not a barely-legal girl.

This. Also her looks and personality feels like a real person, not some stereotype of the "perfect woman".

I see what you did there.
And I agree.

Speaking from a males perspective, If I had to pick the most attractive female based purely on physical appearance, I'd go with Jack. None of the females are unattractive though like you said, Miranda can be off-putting in some scenes.

Personally, Ashley is my favorite female in the series. She's a soldier, she doesn't have to, or need to look "girly." One area where she succeeds, where the ME2 girls failed at IMO, is her romance actually felt fleshed out and organic. Miranda's felt more like a fling, Jack's was rushed, and Tali was more so fanservice to all the Talimancers (not say that is a bad thing though.) Ashley felt like a real person with real life flaws and that added to her appeal.
