Greetings.
I just finished Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, Witch Hunt, and Golems of Amgarrak.
I unlocked most of the Achievements but not all of them.
I also have installed the DLC.
When I look at my profile, several of the Achievements I have earned and uploaded do not have a highlighted icon. Those do also do not give me an item when a new character is created in Awakening.
I got all of the Golem equipment to unlock, though I had to do most of those achievements twice to do so. None of the other items have been unlocked even though they are attributed to my profile. Such as Battledress of the Provocateur.
Is there a way to re-sync the Achievements, or do I need to go through all the DLC content again, or at least those unlocking moments to get them registered as unlocked?

Some general info:
I have a Pentium Quad Core 2.4 Ghz cpu, Nvidia Geforce 480, Internet connection the whole time. I'm running the latest patches on everything that is available. Windows 7 64 bit OS. 6 GB of RAM, Windows Experience index of 5.9, weak point being my Hard Drive, otherwise 7.1 would be my index, with the RAM and CPU being the next lowest.

I've had a similar experience with the Return to Ostagar achievement. In that instance, I have since discovered I can get the achievement to sync by logging out and then logging back in. (The game does log me in automatically on launch, but this does not seem to do anything; what works in logging out and then back in.) Although, this only lasts until I close the game. Still, I suppose you could try it; depending on how the achievements work, you may only need them on-line when starting a new module? I only recently finished DAO and am now in the middle of Awakening, so I haven't had the opportunity to figure out how the achievement-based item rewards work.
Your situation sounds a bit different, though. In my case the icon is highlighted, even lists the date I got it, but nevertheless reads "locked" unless I get it re-synced as above.
I see you do have those achievements in your on-line profile, so I suppose another thing you could try is moving your Profile.dap out of My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings. (Move, not delete, so that you can restore it if things don't go as planned!) Since the game can re-sync your achievements from the Bioware servers, maybe forcing it to start over with a new profile.dap file will fix this. Be warned, though, I believe this will kill your specialization unlocks. That, and the fact that the Ostagar achievement grants nothing, is why I haven't bothered trying this myself.

Thanks. Manually logging in is a workaround.
When I logged back in, the Golem ones stopped working too. So all I need to remember to do is manually log in each time I start a character in which I want those rewards attributed too... Sounds like a little bit of a PITA, but I'm glad I have a work around, thanks.

Right there with you, now. Played through Golems of Amgarrak tonight and unlocked all the achievements, but they are all having this same problem.
I can even confirm that it seems to be permanently stuck in this state. I have a save right before getting the last "research note" that triggers one of the achievements. I can load this save and get the achievement again, and this does serve as an alternate route to unlocking it; but, just like forcing it to re-sync with the cloud, it does not last when I exit the game.
And it gets worse: Even if I remove my profile.dap file, so that DAO has to rebuild it from the cloud, this problem persists. All the achievements that worked are restored properly, while all the ones that were bugged remain so: listed as Locked, yet also highlighted-and-dated, after my first log in following Profile.dap removal. That is an impressively resilient corruption of my DA profile. Even if I wished to start over and hope to avoid this bug, I don't think I could. The moment I log in, the DAO servers would apparently return it to this bugged state.
Now that I have some achievements that grant items, I can confirm that in my variant of this buggy behavior, where the achievements are always lit up and dated, I do not get those items when starting a new game.

Right, and to get the items, you need to use the work around, and then you have them when you start the new game and don't have to bother doing the work around again until you start another new game.
Return to Ostagar was also my first DLC achievement(s). Though I acquired those months ago, though did notice the odd behavior. I wonder if everybody is experiencing this, or just those with Ostagar?

Interesting. I guess maybe this does have something to do with it being DLC then. I had recalled a disconnection with the EA servers when I was playing RtO, and assumed something buggy had happened when it was only synced later on. However, I had no such disconnection when playing Amagarrak or Witch Hunt, and all of their achievements, to a one, are doing this.
Though, the Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep achievements have never had this problem. I have all four at this point, and they all worked fine, and show as unlocked all the time, whether or not I log out-in to force a cloud re-sync. (I'm pretty sure the first Stone Prisoner achievement, for simply getting Shale as a party member, is the first DLC achievement I ever got. RtO may have been the second, or I may have done Warden's Keep before RtO and got those two before it; I can't remember the order now.)
Googling around about achievements, I found this thread. (It seems we are in some way experiencing these people's wish as regards these achievements.
Even though they are marked in some fashion, we can still get the achievement pop-up whenever we meet the conditions again. Now if only we could switch places and transfer this bug on to them, everyone could be happy...) Anyhow, that thread states that you can edit your local achievements in profile.dap using the Dragon Age toolkit. I'm not sure if a fix is really possible that way, considering as how syncing a fresh profile.dap profile with the cloud reproduces the bug. But if someone knows how to interpret the data, perhaps we could determine if the achievement data in our profile.dap files are or aren't corrupted. I'm beginning to suspect that maybe it's not, at least in my case, given that the achievements seem to be listed correctly here, and that the bug is so consistently happening with these specific DLCs.
You said in your first post this was happening to "some but not all" of the achievements from these four DLCs. Is that still the case, and if so, which ones are acting buggy? I haven't played Leliana's Song or Darkspawn Chronicles yet, but I have all achievements from Ostagar, Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt, and this has happened to every single one of them. Also, just to be clear: it sounds like for you, you aren't even getting the icons highlighted or date of unlock given for these achievements, when you first start the game? That is, it all shows like any Locked achievement would, until you force a re-sync?
Not really on topic, but... I'd suggest looking at some of the material . Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep are installed as part of Ultimate Edition, so they can't be missing altogether; for some reason, the game must not be authorizing them with the servers. I believe there's at least one stickied thread that can give you some pointers. I've had problems with the game suddenly de-authorizing DLC, and for me, rebooting has generally worked. However, if they have never worked for you, this might require something else - again, stickies & FAQs will help lay out your options.

I just checked all of my Achievements, and it only occurs on all Achievements from 5 DLC's, Return to Ostagar, Darkspawn Chronicles, Liliana's Song, Golems of Amagarrak, and Witch Hunt. Stone Prisoner, Wardens Keep, Awakening, and the base Achievements do not require re-logging in to get them counted.
When I purchased my Dragon's Age Origins, it came with Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep bundled together, that may be why they work. Awakening... It has a much larger installation.
The others require an online verification to ensure I purchased it before I can use it, maybe that handshaking is where the issue lies?

I just installed a new OS (Windows 7), so this was an interesting chance to see if it the behavior carried over from my experience on XP. It doesn't! Well, actually, it seems it does if I use my old profile.dap. But if I make it sync from the cloud, it actually does work - those achievements show as unlocked & uploaded no matter whether I am logged in automatically, manually, or logged out. (I'm sure it's no coincidence that I'm also no longer having DLC show up unauthenticated when I'm logged out.) I've confirmed that new characters get items in their inventory even if I am logged out or logged in automatically.
There are all sorts of things that could possibly explain the difference. One possibly being that you need to get rid of more than just profile.dap to get it to refresh properly, which would not be very helpful. But one thing I'd offer that could actually be applicable to someone else is to make sure your CD key shows up in the Utility. If it doesn't, take steps to make sure that it does, as outlined here (or perhaps here if you have the Ultimate Edition).

I had the "Deluxe Edition". It was the software download from about a year ago. I know this because I put the "Install Disk" on my external hard drive. Which was where the Dragon Age_code.exe was kept that was required to add my missing CD key. The Awakening CD key was sitting there as it should be, but not my Dragon Age...
Also on that drive were my back-ups for all of my saved characters, which were nearly to the day, 1 year old. Today is a good day to back-up my characters again...
After adding the CD-key, and re-syncing with the cloud, and getting it to auto log-in again, I no longer need to perform the workaround, thanks.

Cool, glad to hear it worked.
And here I thought this was some strange, never-before-solved bug. I guess my search-fu is just weak.
