Lets be honest. The murder knife didn't make much sense. I mean why is the Warden killing people with what looks like a kitchen cutting knife when he has an armory's worth of axes, magical daggers, swords, and other instruments of pain? But there was a certain charm to the murder knife and the way it was used. It said to the victim "I don't respect you enough to kill you with a real weapon." It was also a multi-purpose weapon useful for cutting other stuff.
Yes it was a bit odd but I for one want to see the murder knife return. It can even be the Warden's same murder knife, a relic found by Hawke early in the game.
So will the murder knife be featured in DA2? For old time's sake?

The murder knife is back, albeit much improved. We got a new murder knife halfway through the production process, so you may see the occasional scene with the old murder knife 
Wherever possible, though, we use the new one, and murder knife kills have been mixed up with 'class specific' kills.
