If you are using Max then you are (or should) be using Eshme's Model and Animation Import/Export script. It comes with a detailed manual. Read it.

First thing that comes to mind, did you put the DDS textures into your override folder as well? Thats what my script wont do, it puts the model there but textures no.

Did you use the built in DA material editor too? And did you check to "export MAO files"?

Hey just throwing out this question on this post because It seems that it has something to do with topic

I'm new to the community and after beating origins on Xbox decided to get it on pc to enjoy some of these premo mods. I have found lots of awesome ones and also have enjoyed using the tool set in conjunction with mods to make some cool looking pc heads. On that matter id now like to use the toolset or anything that will accomplish it to personally dictate what armor npc's will wear. For example I love Da II's grey warden armor but I prefer the idea of Fereldan's grey wardens being small isolated and undersupplied and would like to keep the majority of in game wardens (Alistair, Duncan and Loghain specifically) as they are. However I'd like to equip Riordan who is from a nation where the wardens are more prominent with the rouge version of DA II's greywarden armor, as well as do other things like equip Bryce Cousland and Rendon Howe with the Kirkwall exports noble light armors and Berhat with Varric's coat. I'd also like to give the Battledress of the Provocateur skins from some of the Leliana sacred ashes mods out there. I know how to use the toolset to change what my pc currently has equipped and since there are many mods out there like this one that actively replace an NPC's apparel it just must be a matter of figuring out where to go and what to do.  Can anyone please give me some direction on this; I can’t find anything helpful online... thanks in advance

I can give you a general idea based solely on memory at this point (it's been a while!) and if you need more guidance I could look into it a bit more.

If I understand correctly, you would like to equip certain NPCs with modded armor. For that you would need the mod's resource files so the toolset could recognize them. You can test this by opening any relevant armor piece and see if the name of the unique modded armor appears in the appearance lists.

After creating your new module and extending it to Single Player under "Module properties", you need to create new custom armor and gear for each piece you wish to use. For each item you will need to choose the appropriate settings and select the unique modded appearance in each item's properties. Once you have successfully created and exported your new items, select the NPCs you wish to equip and add your items into their equipped inventory, then export the NPC. They should then appear in the game with the new armor.

Keep in mind that if this is for anything other than personal use, you should contact the modders for permission to use their work.

Edit: If you wish to actually transfer armor used in DA2 to DA:O manually without an existing mod, it requires familiarity with 3D modeling programs.  I personally can't help you with that aside from providing a general direction.

I created a module and extended it to single player but still cannot add things to an npc's inventory the red flag saying read only copy changes cannot be saved, so far this is the last major barrier I have to deal with how do I make it so I can edit npcs and save the changes?

When opening the NPC, right click on its name in the palette window and click "Check out". This will open an editable version of the resource. More on this in the http://social.biowar...x.php/Check_in' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>Dragon Age Toolset Wiki .

Okay sorry I know I'm probably annoying but I'm just taking it one step at a time, I've been editing a lot of characters in the last two days, some of my mods 3d models for weapons and armor show up and others don't. Were do I go and what do I do to make all of the models that can show up in the tool set, top priorities are the greywarden armors and the leliana sacred ashes armor which I want to replace the battle dress of provocateur model with.
