I'm really sorry, I'm sure this question has been asked many times in the past, but I can't find the answer.
Will the 1.02 patch for Mass Effect 2 work with the version I downloaded from Gamersgate? How do I know whether it will or not?

It should. It theoretically works for all versions. That said, some digital download distributors have a habit of thrownig their own crap into the downloads for self-promotional purposes.

If it doesnt work, its something you will have to take up with Gamersgate.
