In Uthenera got lyrics, so why didn't this?

Anyway, I'm 98% sure this song is in Elvish (rather than randomly made up words as some believe), since the song mainly says "Mela/mehla" which means "Love" in Elvish

SO! I got a few pals who were versed in elvish language, tolkien-verse and with Elvish translators, the internet and such, and they collaborated to ATTEMPT to make out the actual lyrics of this song and give them interpreations, dedicated to anyone who loves this song.

How it sounds:

Es toll ahda see low may
Melah Melah
Estol ahda see low may
oooo nee tanya
melah eela
denya linya saleeva tenpla (x2)

Possible Elvish Words:

Estel arda silme (is pronounced from one source see-loh-may)
Melah melah
Estel arda silme
oooo nin taen naur
melah ialla
dihenam linna silevril ten palla (x2)

Direct Elvish to English Translation:

Hope realm moonlight
love love
hope realm moonlight
oooo my long fire
love call we forgive sing Silevril far wide/expansive

(Silveril is the name of a jewel that meant radiance of pure light)

[[ of course this seems to make no sense ]]

A better translation for the song may be:

Hope within moonlight
love, love
hope within moonlight
my longing for you is like fire
let our love cry out and shine it's radiant light through all the land

The Song interpreted
:

Hope within moonlight -  Well since it's the theme during a sensual encounter during camp night,  under the  moonlit sky, and having a moment of "hope" or peace during these chaotic times.

love, love - the love between the player character and romance partner (or making love)

my longing for you is like fire - This is pretty straight forward.. a deep desire between the two characters

let our love cry out and shine it's radiant light through all the land - well, the two of them are showing their immense affections that's so large, it could expand through out the land.

THIS is of course, if they got all the elven words right, translated the right etc etc.

jus ta shot.. Wonder if we'll ever get the true lyrics...

That's nice but you should know that Dragon Age Elvish is unrelated to Tolkien Elvish. There is a small dictionary on Dragon Age Wikia with phrases and vocabulary used in Dragon Age if you want to try a faithful translation.

Thank you Marvin!  I honestly didn't know that. Our main hunch was that when we heard "Melah" which was technically "love" in Tolkein elvish, we figured we were on to something.

But this can definitely be re-worked. Thanks :D
