What I do agree with is that there should be more moments like in ME1 where we need to decide who dies and who survives. It was what really put the Mass Effect to my story.

This sounds great and all, but i hope story ruining leaks don't make it through. I really wanna find out more about ME3, but i don't want any of the story to be spoiled for me. I don't know whether to take a media blackout or risk being subjected to ME3 spoilers.

Im sorry, I found the whole thing last time when someone posted...errr...spammed...the forums with the Collectors previously being Protheans thing hilarious.  Not so much hilarious because of it being a spoiler, but because of some of the reactions people had on here.  True gold that.

Well, gamefaqs is the most reliable source there is after all.

The list goes:

1. Gamefaqs

2. 4chan.

3. Fox news

If this is true I really like this idea.

Even if this is the only trailer we get.  Depending on if you picked Earthborn, Spacer or Colonist.  Depicts how you are treated on the planet by certain groups.

Although I think I would welcome another two intros.  If that is the case...I'm playing through Mass Effect again and making a Spacer :P

It is false as the british soldier talks about sheperd not unless he likes to talk about himself in third person. You also see shepherd on the normady looking at earth and it being destroyed.

Interesting if true, wouldn't be surprised if it isnt... But if the trailers will be coming withen the next few months, then we will surely know whether or not its true.

Yeah.  Although what he might have meant was this is the trailer introducing the Earthborn Shephard.

Yeah I'll believe it when I see another trailer for another origin. Seems a bit of a stretch to make trailers based on potential backgrounds rather then highlighting a major part of the whole game.

That said I am fully behind putting in some special content that changes based on your Shep's background. I loved that stuff in ME1 and missed it in ME2

I don't think this is correct at all. Some of it may be applicable in-game but the thing that really threw it off is that it takes place several years after ME2 which, if I am not mistaken, untrue and takes place directly after ME2.

But it's been suggested that the main focus will be on stopping the

I don´t like this at all. At all.

If over 15% of the game is on Earth I will be deeply dissapointed

I don´t think it will be more than that. I´m more worried about that it will be again about collecting nations.

and you can add KOTOR with collecting maps.

You don't really expect Bioware to deviate from the formula they've been using for the last decade or so, do you?

I mean, I suppose you don't have to like it but you really shouldn't be surprised. All Bioware games tend to more or less follow the same structure.

There has to be some sort of a gap in time to accommodate for the novel Retribution, which does take place some time after Mass Effect 2. I suppose there could be overlap across the two, but I'd say that still gives us at least a year's passage in time.

First Mass Effect was different in many ways. And that´s why I love it. And why I expected something similar in second and third game. It´s so bad to expect some innovation?

I'll agree they are most likely to have a time gap unless the prologue takes into account where Shep was during Retribution. That said I can't see it being this alleged 'few years' this source is claiming unless bridging DLC gives us an idea of what Shep is doing between ME2 and ME3 because right at this moment Shep could be doing anything because they aren't necessarily tied to orders other than their own.

As others have said, the trailer was titled 'Earth' not Earthborn. I do think we will see other places getting attacked before the game is out. Part of me even thinks the Citadel might, not destroyed, just... people on it vanquished and communication cut out. It's how Reapers 'roll' ;)

Sometimes I think, good sir, that you are the male version of Kreia. Playing with our minds up to a point when the truth is a tiny needle in a hay stack :P

Concerning the article, the idea is actually very interesting. If fit proves legit or not remains to be seen.

Doubt me all you want. I admit that sometimes I obfuscate things (slight pause while most of you look that up on google) either for marketing reasons or for my own amusement, so doubting is just fine and to be expected.

Plus it makes the "I told you so" even tastier when it comes.
