No, I think that Evil Chris is saying the truth.

Some of the things they have posted are probably true (Common sense, hurr), while others are extremely unrealistic. Common pseudo-leaked article.

Doubt me all you want. I admit that sometimes I obfuscate things (slight pause while most of you look that up on google) either for marketing reasons or for my own amusement, so doubting is just fine and to be expected.

Plus it makes the "I told you so" even tastier when it comes.

OMG I Actually knew what that word means!!! I feel smart!! And I so agree with you and its actually a great way to make the diehards go insane, but I am already insane for this game so you can't make it anyworse... but the "I told you so" feeling is one of the best feelings EVER! Image IPB

Not to mention that ME3 is still in development and a year away anyway, so I take what's on the grapevine with a pinch of salt at this point.

Edit: To clarify, I'd rather believe Chris and others at Bioware then the internet rumor mill.

Aye, same here. First of all the trailer is named Earth, not Earthborn (at least that's what it says on my PC).
We keep playing the waiting game.

I had to go to google btw

Is it wrong to say that I didn't even know there was a word called 'obfuscate' in the English dictionary?

Anyway, at this point, I think Mr. Priestly is telling the truth after all. Still, I will actually be glad if at least part of the stuff mentioned there turns out to be true. It does sound interesting; I will say as much.

Chris Priestly doesn't need dictionaries, he is a dictionary, therefore can produce his own words. Also, it sounds cool and sophisticated, so no complaints from me.

Well why should you listen to Op's quote either? I've got just as much credibility as anyone at GameFAQ or any other forum site ever will.

The funny thing is that next videos will probably be named 'Tuchanka' 'Palaven' and 'Thessia', so you can have the best 'I told you so' moment ever, while you were just guessing. Such is the fate of lucky guessers.

Welllllll.....  You also said we should wait and see how squad armor works in ME2 and not to fret, we could still "customize" it.  I'm gonna call a "I told you so" on my end here, as swapping two "dress-ups" doesn't count as upgrading/selecting squad ARMOR (read: Miranda, Jack, Thane, etc.).

Anyways, I don't buy the quote from gamefaqs anyways.  It would be cool to have various stories, but unlikely, and I do not dig having spent ALL of ME2 recruiting/loyaling characters to have them die off immediately.

It does feel weird a bit though.

All of his previous adventures...."Oh yeah...go save Earth, if you have time"

Its as much of a side quest as Noveria Ilos and Virmire...Saving those planets.

Well, he was telling the truth. Shepard is not part of the dirty dozen, Kasumi is.

Kasumi came later. And Shepard is definitely part of the dirty dozen because he's the leader.

Kinda doubt the reapers would ignore the human motherload that is Earth and instead only go after human frieghters and alliance ships in the traverse just because Shepard was a spacer kid.

It would limit their intimidation factor a tad, wouldn't it?

Yeah, is it a galactic invasion or a petty rivalry?

Doubt Chris all you want but you're all forgetting one major flaw in what the TC is claiming.......how does Shep's birthplace have any correlation to were the reapers decide to attack?! HOW?! Doesn't make any sense.

Shep isn't still hanging around Earth and the reapers know that. I'd love to see something like what the TC is claiming.  Different cutscenes and opening scenes depending on your choices but I'd be seriously disappointed if ths is what BW decided to go with.....which is why I don't believe the TC.

Maybe it shouldn't effect if they attack earth of not,but maybe it should effect when and how hard the attack certin places in the galaxy, like coloneys, aliance worlds, eath or the citadel?

Just a thought because I want them to attack earth but not have it the main focus of the game,I want the feel of "the galaxy vs the reapers"not just humans
