Does anyone else do this?

You can actually get pretty close and still dodge his attacks, but I don't like to be closer than 10 feet during actual gameplay.

If he is the last target yeah I can and do do that, but not as well. If anything else is on the field I'm so busy trying to avoid being shot at with there 100% accuracy that no I don't do that.

At :58 seconds, it looks like he does the animation for incineration, and your character burns like it as incineration, but I never saw the fireball. THAT is the attack I was talking about when I said Harby seems to do some kind of AOE or some garbage when you get close in like that.

It could just be a glitch, but I can pretty much replicate it at will if I get that close to him which is why even on vanguards I prefer to just shoot him from far away.

I usually Charge him when he's transforming, damage him severely so he has only a little armor left, then Charge away, kill all minions and in the meantime my squad easily kills that damaged Harbinger.

If he's already transformed, I Charge, shoot, hit him with 2x squad Warp, shoot again and he's almost dead so Charge to replenish my barrier and one more shot or a few melees will finish the job.

A charge, 2 warps and 1 mattock clip destroy him in seconds. Maybe a melee swing at the end if you don't get 100% headshots.

i just use the concussive shot to bring down his barrier then keep on firing with incendiary rounds with my revenant whilst in cover normally i kill him before he fires the attack move that blasts you out of cover

Yes.  That move looks like there is a different animation.  It felt like instead of him pulling back and throwing that he just raised his hand straight up for a quick attack.  It's hard to see the animation in detail because I'm on fire almost immediately.

There are lots of good ways to kill Harbinger, but if you kill him too quick you just fight him again... so being able to dodge his attacks is pretty useful on lots of classes.  So... it sounds like you guys on PC don't bother dodging much?  Do you use the left hand on WASD and to hit power keys?  On 360 our left thumb is always on the stick so it's no bother to do a quick jiggle (as long as you can keep your eye on harby while fighting his minions.)

I wasn't implying that dodging wasn't worthwhile, I just focused on that specific attack cause I had mentioned it in other threads and people weren't really buying into it.

As far as killing Harby goes, saving him for last is definitely my preferred method. Like you said, killing him early only results in respawns.

The only time you don't kill harby last is if you somehow find yourself blocked off from other enemies while being forced to kill him quickly... Whenever I fight collectors I try to bring at least one 'hose' power to keep harby down, just so I don't need to deal with the guy.

Ok, that attack he does at 57-58 seconds in is definitely something different. I paused his animations to look at them, and that animation is clearly different. Usually his right arm goes behind his back and he twists to the right before launching the flying fireball. The attack at 58 seconds though his right hand goes down, he doesn't twist at all and when his hand comes up you instantly are hit without any projectile. It's an instant incinerate that he only casts in short range.

Sinosleep is right about that. I never knew he had anything other than the two standard projectiles.

Nope, but he holds it in his left hand the whole time.  The position of the gun helps you identify the 3rd type of attack as distinct from his normal attack.

Engineers Incinerate and Vanguards Warps are dodged just like Harbingers attacks, but rockets are always launched at where you are, not where you are heading to so any lateral movement dodges them.

Harby's projectiles seem to travel a bit slower than other enemies'... the only thing that makes his harder are that his can go through cover.

The Blue missiles some enemies fire do have slow tracking, but rockets don't.
