I only wish for exploring that has a purpose, and isn't meaningless. I want the exploring to involve NPCs, quests, missions, shops and a like, i have no interest in dead zone exploring.

I completely agree with you I had enough of driving over mountains and getting stuck as well as taking half an hour to do one roaming level.

But i want a balance i do not want more side missions than Primary Missions but I do want some proper side missions rather than fight off varren, search derelict ship etc.

Alright guys, I'd like to continue but it's getting late over here and I'm about to catch some z's. Good night to you all and merry Christmas. I'll be back to discuss tomorrow night, and SSV I'll have those links for you.

Good night.

I'd agree with those who've said that they'd only like exploration if it has ties to the main story. It never really made sense to me that in ME1 or ME2 that you're on a desperate mission to stop X from doing Y but you spend ages toddling around random planets on missions unconnected to the plot.

Having missions like ME2's Overlord DLC or the Noveria/Liara's dig site/Virmire missions in ME1 would work better for me, where the exploration sections are integrated into the story.

SSV pm'd me regarding those. Didn't think anyone else wanted them. As soon as I'm back on my comp I'll post them.

Yes there are other ways to bring back that lost rpg feeling that people are missing. Empty planets are not necessary just to say that its there. Quality over quantity.

Honestly, I want exploration yes, but not at the expense of how unique ME2 at least made each planet feel.

What planets? I only ran along nice decorated outdoor corridors...
Overlord would be actually better if i could leave my vehicle when i want...(how stupid it was when the overlord vi mentioned the "great view" and i couldnt get out of the hammerhead/riiiggghht)
But Bioware seems to think that its good to restrict the freedom of players.
