I'm trying to buy DLC for Mass Effect do. I click Buy, click PC, then the screen comes up please verify your password. I type it in correctly, it says "The login details you provided were invalid. Please try again.".

 What's the deal? I know I'm putting in the right password. I even changed my password and tried again. No change. Awhile back when I wanted to buy DLC for Dragon Age Origins I had to call to get the points to successfully get added to my account because the website wasn't working then (probably 6 months ago) either. This is so needlessly frustrating.

 What can I do?

I discovered the problem. I think it's a bug on EA's side - it will let you choose passwords that are longer than it'll accept for some functions. I remember having this issue with the Spore website when it redirected some elements to EA. I made my password shorter and it works.
