Just another question to add to the lot. I appologize now, I did try to go to the wiki but I cant seem to get any of the pages to load. After about 2 mind numbing hours of trying to read short how to posts on topics that probably explain exactly what I need to do but have no idea I figured maybe I would ask for help instead of fretting over the thought that perhaps I didnt look hard enough, or use google right...maybe I didnt...

But I digress...I wanted to start making my own eye textures to go along with my custom head morphs. So I got myself a .dds file to edit, opened it up in Photoshop (I have the Nvidia dds Reader). I stuck with convert images to 8 bits. was that ok? When working with this .dds file did I want to check load with its MIP maps? I imagine if you know what I am talking about you know what it looks like when it opens the file. So that brings me to, if I am to load the file with the MIP maps, should I be editing each of the 4 versions? OR, can I just load one 8-bit version and when I save it save my own MIP maps with it? (and saving it is a whole new bowl of noodles...)
So now I get this pretty eye texture, merge the layers flat, save my file first as a .psd, .tga then the .dds, a bunch of options come up under the dds editor, wasnt sure what I needed to input in here unfortunatly, I just left everything at the default and hit save..I imagine that was wrong.
From there I wasnt sure what to do either, I opened a new Material in the Toolset, inserted a new material library and then a new material object and made the material type eye, left the rest alone. I thought I read somewhere that you could use/load a .tga file so under the normal tab with enable normal map true I loaded up the .tga eye file I made, didnt touch anything else because I was unsure of whatever else there was then posted it to local...
Flipped over to my head Morph, clicked on my eye properties and.....completely lost the file, or at least when I go to look for it under my Head Morph Eye Texture Option it isnt there, even if I select 'All Diffuse Files'.
Now of course I am a complete moron, so from step one I am probably doing it all wrong, I cant get to the wiki's and if any of the 'how to's' on the forums here explain exactly what I need to do then it definatly eludes me..I've seen the retinting ones, for like armors and such..is that even the same to follow? and I am still lost at the whole Photoshop/Nvidia back to Toolset and finding the file again process...
I'd apprecite it if anyone could either explain this to me or point me in the right direction. Maybe if I can focus on the correct tutorials instead of 900 of the wrong ones I could get somewhere!
Thanks all, I apprecite it!
