6. Remember how I told you to play through the game first to save it when you first got the chance to? Well, now we're going into the save information of that file and putting your face you made in the toolset on the character. Close the face you had been working on. AM DOING THIS FOR MY CHARACTER FLAEMARU SO ANYWHERE YOU SEE HER NAME, JUST SUBTITUTE IT WITH THE NAME OF THE CHARACTER WHOSE FACE YOU'RE CHANGING. Then, go to File->Open File->owner->documents->bioware->dragonage->characters->Flaemaru->Saves(Since I know how to do this I only has one save for her, but pick the save you want to change)->Slot_1->Flaemaru.das

This part doesnt work for me, there is no Flaemaru (or in this case Selena) .das in my saved game files. Help?

Can you tell me how you made your self look like dragon? I want to change my looks to Desire Demon.

The Desire Demon, unfortunately, is super glitched. I'm still trying to figure out out to fix them, as I was hoping to have a character run around as  a werewolf, but it too is glitched. I'm compliging a list of what everything is, and it seems as though there's alot, so it could take awhile. I'm not however, going to post it until I can figure out how to fix the glitched ones, and most of them, are glitched.

I'm assuming you made a save, correct? Not an auto save (though those should show up too), but an actual save? (please forgive me if you think I'm treating you like an idiot, it's not intentional, I just need to know what I can before I can actually help you)

The very basicmost basics of wiki page editing can be quite simple.

To create a new page, search for the page title and then when the search function doesn't find it click on the red "create this page" link. So you could do a search for "player modification tutorial", for example, and then click on "create this page" to get a new page edit window. You could also add a link to the non-existent page somewhere like http://social.biowar...x.php/Tutorials and then click on the link to get to the new page edit window.

The only really important bit of wiki formatting you need to know at first is to leave a blank line between paragraphs. Headers, links, and so forth can be added later by other users, you don't need to worry about those if you're just getting started with wiki editing.

To upload a file, click on the "upload file" link in the toolbox section of the sidebar. This will take you to the file upload page, where you click "browse" to select the file to upload from your local disk. You can optionally enter a description of the file in the big text field at the bottom (this is for convenience, you can describe the image however you like), or you can leave it blank and hopefully others will describe it later if it needs description.

To display an image you've uploaded, add this to the text of the page: [[File:filename.png]] (with filename.png being whatever the name of the file was). There's various keywords you can add to do fancier formatting of the images, for example to make it into a thumbnail image you'd use [[File:filename.png|thumb]], but that can be fixed up later too.

Don't worry about breaking anything. Wiki pages can be very easily reverted to an earlier state if something goes awry, and other editors will be available to help fix up any problems that may arise. :)

Alright Cool. I'll try this out, hopefully, tomorrow or Saturday. Today is house cleaning day and it desperately needs it. lol

Can you explain or re-host the pictures showing how to be able to use more colors?

All you need to do is open up the "All Tint Files" under the "Filter" area when you're chosing hair/tattoo color and just....explore, for lack of a better term at the moment.

Is there any way to export appearance from one save and import it to another save on different character? I tried messing around with copying/pasting the values but to no avail.

I did the "Post To Local" and changed the MORPH_NAME string from *empty* to the file name without extension but no luck. The face remains the same one.

make sure to put the prefix. For example, if you saved your morph as "mug" and you worked on human male base form, write "hm_mug" not just "mug". You can see the prefixes for other races/genders at the beginning of the thread. Anyways, thats how it worked for me. I haven't really tried anything else, like leaving out the prefix.

Yeah, it doesn't work without the proper prefix.

Yea, I spent like 4 hours and I made sure I didn't make any mistake. I even copied the ef_filename.mop to the "DA install Path\\\\module\\\\Single Player\\\\override\\\\" but it is still the same face as before.

edit: just to add that my file name already included the prefix. The extension means ".mop".

lampuiho: I'm probably not the most qualified to solve your problem, but I I'll try anyways. I don't remember doing anything with .mop files... I even tried to search comp for *.mop... returned nothing. Morph I created was saved as .mrh

The .mop file is only needed when you work with presets for character generation (either overriding the current ones or adding new presets).

The file extension you want/need is .mor (and of course the .mrh which you should already have). To get the .mor file:

Open the .mrh file with the toolset -> browse the tabs in the object inspector until you reach one labeled "Export settings" -> Set the "Export as .mop" entry from True to False -> Save and export as usual

ic thx a lot

I actually looked at the wiki of the toolset, and I didn't realise it's .mor, not .mop.

Just open up the "All Tint Files" under the 'Filter" thing at the bottom when choosing a hair color. This also works for the eyes and tattoos as well, although sometimes the colors don't show up right.

Okay one more question. How do you make the eyes glow?

I believe the 'glowing' depends on the color choice. Like, I've found dark bluees so vibrant they look like they glow, meanwhile, there's just blues that look normal. Does that make sense?

Could you please explain step 7 (and beyond) in a way that doesn't require pictures, since none of them load anymore?  This tutorial was exactly what I was looking for, but I have no idea how to proceed from step 6 to 7 just by going by the text...:(
