No, you're not getting on my nerves. I'm glad your asking, makes me have to use my brain. ^_^

There's no way to change the height and weight of your character, although it would be awesome if you could.

As far as changing Zevran's face.....*Sigh* There's been so many topics on this and every one of them has eventually boiled down to "You can't". However, the "You can't" is usually associated with the "I want to open their face morph in the toolset". You can't because the files are .mor and they won't open. I'm confusing myself lol

Anyway, opening his existing face is impossible (for now), however, if you open up the toolset and make a male elf morph, at tab "15. Unique Shapes" Zevran is one of them. This pretty much means you're working from scratch on him, but there's nothing else you can do. I'm not sure about his skin color, but under tattoo mask, type in "uh_pmt_001_0t" (without the quotes of course). His tattoo is on "Channel 2" of the group.

Once you get it how you want it, you're going to want to save it as "em_genfl_zevran.mor" (again, without the quotes). However, like the presets, this is going to have to go into your override folder. I don't know if it needs to be extracted or not first since no ones told me if extracting the files had helped with the game crashes. *Shrug*

I read somewhere on here that they ARE going to release the main campaign stuff and make the other character's face morphs available, they just don't know when.

I'm not sure about a dog face on a human, but for regular head swapping, download the head morphs, load them up in the toolset, make any tweaks if you wish, export them as .mor files and rename them.

I wonder why once I export, it was MOP instead of MOR. When I rename it to MOR, it worked on the face, But I cannot exit my current map.

Excuse me i see everyone here is having some epic chat with MOP files etc etc but i'd like to know how you made the tattoos on your Duncan character all white and bright like that. *What tint files?*

Please and thank you.

After wasting most of the day trying to start the toolset.. would someone be so nice and please upload a mop file of the den212_erlina.mrh file (locatet in the core and singleplayer head morphs zip and landsmeet(denerim) folder) so i can use it as preset? liselle (den200_liselle.mrh) would be nice as well

btw. i'am stuck at this step for manual database installation:

"This is where you'll select the database that the toolset uses.

The ConfigureToolset application currently (as of 1.01) doesn't set a registry entry that the toolset also needs in order to find the database properly. You'll need to set this manually. The key you'll need to update is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Toolset\\Environment

Change it to match the database line produced by the configuration tool in the previous step. For example, the value in a default installation of the toolset is:

Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=bw_dragonage_content;Data Source=.\\BWDATOOLSET

"

but i realy just want the erlina preset

Further to the custom preset character. If you create a character off the preset, save a game, you can then remove the override preset. This should (I haven't tried it yet), avoid the morph issues in the fade as you aren't using the savegame_appearance_morph_name anymore.

Also, you can copy the savegame_player_morph value to an existing save game if you decide you want to change your character's appearance without having to use the savegame_appearance_morph_name entry.

Here's my elf with long ears (and overboard eyelashes) that don't use an override.

I've been reading this post for sometime but I can't find an answer for what I'm looking for. I think I've missed someting :(...

So far I've managed to play a bit with the morph stuff, but after I'm done modeling the face I want, I don't know what to do, since the topic only explains how to put the face on an existing character.

I would like to make the face I modeled into a preset(in order to fix the elven ear issue, that DO annoy me), but after I save the face(in the wrong folder, naturally :pinched:) I don't know what to do. Does anyone knows how do I save the morph I created into a preset? Does it takes care of the Fade issue?

Edited: Sorry... found the answers on the 6th tab of this post. <_<

They have done it and it is here:

http://social.biowar...ect/1331/#files

The core and single player head morphs.zip obviously, it is the .mrh files for all NPC heads in the game. Companion morphs are in the Global file.

I found this by accident, the Projects part of this site needs a serious overhaul.

Edit: This is the announcement thread if anyone is interested:

I'd like to apologize to everyone who's posted in here recently.

Everyone in my household has been extremely ill for the past week and a half (right before Christmas get together too, so we're going to miss it). We are all still sick, but I think I have the slight mentality and the ability to stay awake long enough to answer a few (if not all) of you. I won't guarantee that the answers will make sense, if they don't, I apologize and I'll try to make them make sense/go into more detail when I'm not so sick anymore.

@samasyeo: As far as swapping Anoras/Leliana's faces, I would think it would be theoretically possible. As it stands currently, I don't have the brain mentality to try and figure this out for you, but once I'm better, I'll give it a go. Since illness comes and goes, I won't have a definite timeline to give you. Also, as it currently stands, there is no way that I know of that one can convert the files back and forth.

@rionyamato: No. The dog sprite is one solid piece. As in it's head is attached to it's body. The werewolf head however, it not attached to it's body, but I can never seem to find it when I'm looking in the core files for it.

@Konotai: The bright white tint file I used was t3_wer_h01. Please note however that the tint colors are solely a tattoo by tattoo basis. As in, just because it's white for one, does not mean it will be white for another. Only the actual 'tat' tint files works for all of the tattoos. I've been trying to compile a list of what tint files work with what tattoos, but it's been long, tedious, and tiring.

@Ryldaun: first off, they are not .mrh files. They're .mor meaning one cannot open them in the toolset. I'm assuming this is her (I've not beat the game yet, I've been spending far too much time playing in the toolset. However, my boyfriend has beat it several times over)

Umm....If you're toolset is working, you need to go inot the face.erf file, extract the files you're looking for (in this case ef_den212_erlina.mor and hf_den200_liselle.mor). after that it's just a matter of going into your female elf's save file and putting in ef_den212_erlina in the appearance morph section and likewise ith your female human. I'm assuming this would work for any race/gender. As in, if you had a male dwarf that you wanted to look like Gorim, find his file, extract it, type it into the appearance section and viola! As far as getting your toolset to work, I have no idea. I've never had much problem out of mine.

@damage1900: Thanks for the info, it didn't even dawn on me to try that.lol

@Flamellas: I'm glad you found it. I plan on making a 'table on contents' type deal later on, I've just not gotten around to it yet.

@Vae_Victis: Awesome, thanks for this, I didn't know they had released it. Kudos to you for finding it and kudos to them for releasing it.

Hi, for example I wanted to edit the apperance of my followers, usimg tooset, where should I look in to? I cannot find the apperance of my followers.

Actually I have an idea, I was looking how to create create the .mor of Anorna face where it was name Leiana.
After that I just place on My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override.
Maybe it would work.

Please guide, Thq. Posted Image

I don't know what you're asking. Maybe it's the illness or something.
Are you wanting to know where to find the file for Anora's/Leiliana's face? If so, it's in the face.erf file. In the very last post of page 6, I explain how to find it (for Vista users anyway).
Perhaps, for the sake of my mentality/sanity/understanding, you (or someone else who understand what you're asking) can explain a bit better.
I'm really sorry I'm not understanding. I feel like a bum because of it.

Hey Raven, I see you are running your own help session thread here. I thank you greatly for all the information I have learned from reading your answers to others posts on this thread. Seeing your unmatched skill in the use of this awkward toolset, I hope you could shed some light on this issue I am experiencing.

I have been trying to morph my characters face since ten o clock this morning and it only resulted in me reinstalling dragon age at least four times. I followed yours and others' guides in order to solve my problem, but none of the fixes seem to work. I tried clearing the export directory, deleting the single player folder in the my documents folder, and clearing up my override folder in the dragon age directory. In addition, it tried creating a whole new module for my morphs in hopes to not corrupt the main singleplayer module. None of these fixes worked for me.

Now, the actual problem I am having. To put it in a simple statement, I am getting the "missing campaign.cif" error message. I have noticed that several other people have been experiencing the same issue, yet no one is able to help them. I have, though, figured out the cause of the error in the most elementary way, but other than that, the actual cause is beyond me. The elementary case is that my singleplayer.cif file disappears whenever I "post to local" my morph. I have no idea why, but it neither appears in my "my documents" folder nor my DA directory after posting my morph to local. As a quick fix for this, so i can continue experimenting, I copied the singleplayer.cif file to my desktop so that I can copy it to the correct directory after each post. This allows the game to work again but the morph doesnt work if i do this. In result, i am extremely confused and I dont know what to do to solve the problem and I hope you might be able to help me. thanks for reading this post Raven and others.

Would you cry if I told you that this is the first time ever ever done this kinda thing? Which would explain why I can't help with everything.... O_o

Well, some people got 'bad toolset files' So perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling the toolset itself would help.
Also, I would make sure you have all of the latest patches. But before that I would read this:http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/8/index/422220 perhaps some of your issues pertain to the Xp/service pack thing or whatnot.
If you do com to the conclusion that you need to uninstall/update/whateve (god I hate being sick, it makes me feel like a retard), I would read this: http://social.biowar.../8/index/173428
To be honest, I have no idea how to help you personally (atleast I can admit it lol). If those topics don't/haven't helped (in the case that you've read them previously or something) all I can suggest is sending a personal message to one of the Bioware mods with all the specs of your computer (operating system and whatnot) on top of a step-by-step thing of what you've been doing and when the problem occurs (screenshots or a link to where the screenshots are would probably help). As far as who to contact about it, I usually send a message to Bryan (http://social.bioware.com/40/) because he's really nice and always gets back to me (even if takes a few days).
I'm sorry that I can't be more help.

I installed a mod with more hairdos and would like to change the hair of my currently active character in the savegame... Is there a pdf format of the instructions given in this thread? The toolset is nightmarish to operate and I need a manual.

No, there's no PDF of my tutorials unless someone made one without my knowledge. Sorry
