Alright, so I've been promising to do this for awhile and I'm kicking myself for not doing it until now. However, being sick and having Christmas and such has kinda hindered my ability to do anything aside from lay in bed. I'm STILL sick as a matter of fact, however, it's not as bad as it was. However, being sick for about two and a half weeks has done havok on my body in general and it sucks. But, Life goes on and so must I.
ANYWAY! So, in this post I'm going to try to show you how to change the stats of your character, along with giving them more attribute, talent, and skill points AND how to change the amount of money you have and how big your inventory bag is. I'm pretty sure most of you have probably figured out how to do this already, but...for those that don't, here you go.

So, First thing's first (Mind you, this is done with my chracter Flaemaru on my laptop. Just replace the name with the name of your character)
Changing the stats (Strength, Dexterity, Willpower, Magic, Cunning, and Constitution) of your character1. Play the game until you get a chance to save. What I normally do is right down the stats I had given my character while in the Character creator and after the initial cutscence in the beginning and what-have-you, I save.
2. Now, close your game (you saved it, right? lol) and open the toolset.
3. Go to the character's save file. I'll be honest, I cannot for the life of me remember where the menu starts, so this is going to start as though it was wanting to open from the desktop, so yeah. c
Will look like this:

4. Now, go to SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR -> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR -> SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS-> SAVEGAME_STATLIST
At this point, your screen should look like this:

5. Now, I don't know what all of the variables are for, however, I will share the what I do know. This should be right, however, as I said, I write mine down to be certain.
For reference purposes:

Now. as you can see, those are Flaemaru's current stats.Take a look at this:

Notice anything familiar? lol
Variable 0 is Strength.
Variable 1 is Dexterity
Variable 2 is Willpower
Variable 3 is Magic
Variable 4 is Cunning
Variable 5 is Constitution
We're going to look at Strength. Currently, Flaemaru has an 18 in it. I'm going to change it to 50. Why? Because it's fun. lol To do so, I'm going to click in the box where the '18' is and type in 50. Same for everything else. Now, I'm sure there's a max number for these to be, but I don't know what it is because 50 is the highest I've ever typed in. Feel free to experiment, but do so at your own risk. I've been told that if you set it too high, it can break your game. I don't know if there's any truth to this though, but still, fair warning.
Anyway, you're probably wondering why I including variables 6 and 7. Variable 6 is your Health and Variable 7 in your Stamina/Mana. I usually only set mine to about 500. Health wise, I mean. I never mess with the Stamina/Mana because I don't really see the point. There's a mathmatical formaula behind the regen and such, but me (as in the girlfriend) is not mathematically inclined so I'm not sure what it is. If anyone is interested though, I can ask my boyfriend. He's the smart one lol
6. So.....that's about it to the stats. just change them, and don't forget to save it of go into the Modules folder and delete the single player folder. Like always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. we'll try to answer them.
Now, onto the rest of it.
Adding more Attribute, Talent, and Skill points1. This part is a little weird. You need to play WITHOUT leveling up. For Rogues, you only need to play until you're level 2. For Warriors and Mages, you need to play until level 3. The reason I say this is because if you don't currently have point in the area, it won't show up when you're wanting to change it. Now, It shouldsn't be too difficult to obtain these levels and play without leveling up until you do so. Flaemaru is a Dalish and had her 3 levels when I first got into the camp at Ostagar. It should be about the same way for the other classes/backgrounds as well.
2. Save your game (after reaching the needed level).
3. Open your toolset and go to your save file. File->Open File (or Ctrl+O)-> Owner-> Documents->Bioware -> Dragon Age-> Characters -> Flaemaru -> Saves -> Slot_1 -> Flaemaru.das
4. Go to the same place where you changed your stats. This would be SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR -> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR -> SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS-> SAVEGAME_STATLIST
Looks like this (and don't you just love when I use the same image over and over?):

5. Now, this part is kinda tricky because the variables seem to change depending on the character. However, the SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTYINDEX should be the same. In this case, Mine is 34, 35, 36. If yours is not the same, I apologize.

Everything that's in the red box is my Attribute stuff. I have 6 points in it currently (like I said, If you don't currently have points in it, it won't show up) and it's Stat Property Index is 34. All you need to do to change it is type what you want to change it to where it says 6. Let's say, you want 30. Type in '30', save, delete the single player folder, and load your game. Now, you'll have 30 Attribute points. Not 36, meaning they don't stack.
The stuff in the blue box is my Talents points and the stuff in the green box is my skill points.
6. Save the file. Go to your modules folder and delete the single player folder. Load your game, level up, and enjoy. Feel free to ask questions, we'll try to help.
Now...on to the last bit.
Changing your money and the size of your inventory bag
1. This can be done at anytime (I think). Just be sure to play long enough to save your game.
2. Go to your character's save file. File->Open File (or Ctrl+O)-> Owner-> Documents->Bioware -> Dragon Age-> Characters -> Flaemaru -> Saves -> Slot_1 -> Flaemaru.das
3. Now, go to SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST (underlined in red below)

The SAVEGAME_MONEY (The blue box) is, of course, the money. It's all calculated in bits, again, mathematical stuff that I'm not good at. However, I also put in 10000000 and it gives me about 1000 gold.
The SAVEGAME_MAX_ITEMS (the green box) is how much you can carry in your inventory. I ALWAYS set mine to 500. Why? Because I'm a packrat. The max inventory in game(buying the backpacks from merchants) is 125. Now, fair warning, if you change your backpack value to something above the max inventory of 125, it should be fine. I say SHOULD because I've read that people have items randomly dissappear from their inventory and such, however, I've never experienced this. Now, another thing, I set my backpack to 500. Let's say I buy a backpack from Bodahn (be it on purpose or accidently) it WILL reset my inventory 'slots' to 125 (the max you get in game). Now, I've not had this happen, but I'm assuming that if this does happen and you have, let's say, 200 items in your inventory at the time, you will lose 75 items. Now, this is only an assumption, but I'm not sure how else it could happen. Does that make sense? So yes, if you DO change your max inventory to something above 125 DO NOT buy a backpack.
4. Save it, close the toolset, delete the single player folder in the modules folder. Go play your game.

As always, if you have questions, feel free to ask. We'll try to help.
I do believe that's it for now. Can you believe this took me like...4 hours to type up? lol Man I'm slow. Anyway, I hope this helps you out somehow.
