You can edit your skills by editing the Savegame_skillist section.LeraG wrote...
I want to change some of my skills, not increase or decrease but switch like swap some I put on herbal to put on coerce instead. How do I do that? Oh and I made a boo boo too, I added so much coins to the crates in camp that I'm level 23 now and I don't want to be...I want to go back down to level 19.
Each skill is a 6 number string, so to swap herbalism rank 1 to coercion rank 1, you edit the skill 100061 to 100011.
For Reference:
Coercion 100011-100014
Stealing 100021-100024
Trap Making 100041-100044
Survival 100051-100054
Herbalism 100061-100064
Poison 100071-100074
Combat training 100100-100104
Combat Tactics 100110-100113
to add a skill, r-click the Savegame_skillist and add a UINT32 value

But it's at the tail end of my huge post on page 8

- in game run the console and type: runscript zz_money # (# being the number of coppers)
- Adding more Attribute, Talent, and Skill points
1. This part is a little weird. You need to play WITHOUT leveling up. For Rogues, you only need to play until you're level 2. For Warriors and Mages, you need to play until level 3. The reason I say this is because if you don't currently have point in the area, it won't show up when you're wanting to change it. Now, It shouldsn't be too difficult to obtain these levels and play without leveling up until you do so. Flaemaru is a Dalish and had her 3 levels when I first got into the camp at Ostagar. It should be about the same way for the other classes/backgrounds as well.
2. Save your game (after reaching the needed level).
3. Open your toolset and go to your save file. File->Open File (or Ctrl+O)-> Owner-> Documents->Bioware -> Dragon Age-> Characters -> Flaemaru -> Saves -> Slot_1 -> Flaemaru.das
4. Go to the same place where you changed your stats. This would be SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR -> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR -> SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS-> SAVEGAME_STATLIST
Looks like this (and don't you just love when I use the same image over and over?):
5. Now, this part is kinda tricky because the variables seem to change depending on the character. However, the SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTYINDEX should be the same. In this case, Mine is 34, 35, 36. If yours is not the same, I apologize.
Everything that's in the red box is my Attribute stuff. I have 6 points in it currently (like I said, If you don't currently have points in it, it won't show up) and it's Stat Property Index is 34. All you need to do to change it is type what you want to change it to where it says 6. Let's say, you want 30. Type in '30', save, delete the single player folder, and load your game. Now, you'll have 30 Attribute points. Not 36, meaning they don't stack.
The stuff in the blue box is my Talents points and the stuff in the green box is my skill points.
6. Save the file. Go to your modules folder and delete the single player folder. Load your game, level up, and enjoy. Feel free to ask questions, we'll try to help.
Now...on to the last bit.
Changing your money and the size of your inventory bag
1. This can be done at anytime (I think). Just be sure to play long enough to save your game.
2. Go to your character's save file. File->Open File (or Ctrl+O)-> Owner-> Documents->Bioware -> Dragon Age-> Characters -> Flaemaru -> Saves -> Slot_1 -> Flaemaru.das
3. Now, go to SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST (underlined in red below)
The SAVEGAME_MONEY (The blue box) is, of course, the money. It's all calculated in bits, again, mathematical stuff that I'm not good at. However, I also put in 10000000 and it gives me about 1000 gold.

lol I appreciate you doing that. I kinda lied about the lazy part. My laptop has been acting very retarded and it wouldn't let me copy and paste anything and I really didn't want to type it all.
And by retarded, I mean the whole copy/paste thing, my desktop icons randomly disappear (while still being checked that they're visible), and random other assorted stuff. Strange thing though, doesn't effect my games or anything like that.
On a random side note, YAY EXPANSION!.....however....the creepy talking Hurlock (?) from the cutscenes scares me. I suppose this will give me an actual reason to PLAY the game. I've got like..5 Characters and only one of them has made it past the Circle of Magi stuff. She went to Orzammar (?) and did the stuff the go into the Deep Roads, but never actually went. Then, I accidently deleted her. lol She also never did the Urn stuff. X_X
Ah...I'm having way too much fun with this toolset. I think I'm gonna start trying to make a random level now. Maybe just something to walk around in at first. *Shrug* I dunno

With Raven's awesome tutorial I gave my rogue new stats and talent points. Stats and gold/inventory also works nice on my mage but I can't add him more points to buy new spells by the same way I did to my rogue. I really unhappy with his current spell list but as I past the fade I don't want to re-roll him. Which line of the save game adds more spell points?
Also I want to thank you and your boyfriend again Raven. Thanks to your tutorials my love for this game relighted. I keep changing NPC heads and have really fun with my brand new world. I will try to give link to my screenshots section as soon as I can upload them.
Have fun.

I have another question if anyone knows how to do it:

You're welcome....and just to clear things up (since it's kinda confusing) He's Raven, I'm Flaemaru lol
Anyway, I always get skill/talents confused and can never remember which is which, but whatever it is that gave you all the points for your Rogue abilities, does the same thing for the Mage spells. If you're meaning that you want more Mana, The Mana/Stamina is the same thing and in my huge post on page 8 I explain what values i know. I believe I said that Value 6 was Health while Value 7was Stamina/Mana.
If that doesn't answer you're question...then I'm a little confused about what you're asking lol
Adding some mods to our game help rekindled our love for it. We added several from the Dragonagenexus.com site and they work wonders. *Hugs her Berserk sword and funky hair*

The number string (26 or 27 iirc) working for rogue talents doesn't work for mage spells. Safest way I found so far is waiting for a level up. While level up you will see a new string added to your save game stats. I can add as much as spell I like from there.
Also an addition to your tutorial: If you want to increase stats for your party members, go to SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST>SAVEGAME_PARTYPOOLMEMBERS. You will see numbers under that string (like 0,1,2 etc.) extend one number and check who he/she/it is. Then you can increase his/her/its stats whatever suits your taste.
[/IMGAnd here is my Alistair as I promised.

Do I have to uninstall the whole game and reinstall it to fix this?
Edit: I read some of the threads addressing the issues with the toolset, and it seems I have none of the problems in those, I have XP with SP3, so it shouldn't be the issue (though it is running through bootcamp on my MacMini, but that has had no issues when playing DA:O or any other games). And I have NO 'modules' folder in my 'MyDocuments-Bioware-DragonAge' -folder. I have only an 'AddIns'-folder there, and that is where the mods (most of them anyway, others go to the 'override') go for me. And there were no files in the folder 'toolsetexport' -folder under the 'packages-core-override'. So I have no clue where the toolset exported the head morph in the first place.
So have I now messed my game completely? When reading those threads it seems when people try to reinstall the game, it still doesn't work...

One of the tabs in the head morph is labeled "Export Settings" .Throrf wrote...
It doesn't work! I tried to change my character's face several times, but I can't see any results ingame... The first time I tried, I followed a different guide and worked in a different module (when that didn't work, I went to your guide). I changed the module back to "Single Player" and loaded the face I made, then followed your steps, from "post to local" and on. One funny thing I noticed was that when I post a face, it doesn't save as a .mor file but rather as a .mop file (in the packages/core/override/toolsetexport). Think that could be the problem? If so, how can I change it back to a .mor file?
If it's saving as a .mop instead of .mor then you need to change the Export Settings from 'true to False or whatever the opposite is of what its' on. Try that and see if that doesn't help.

I think I messed up things completely trying to morph a new PC. I did exactly as was told in the first post in this thread. Though I had no idea where I should save the morph first, but I did use the 'post to local' function. When I opened the saved game I had, graphics were all strange, just black and some other colours, and the character had turned into the base human male with a base name (my character was an elven female mage). I tried what was adviced in that other thread, deleted the single player file (.cif file that is), but now I can't open any of my saved games at all, the game just keeps saying "campaign.cif is missing". And I did not delete any other files than the single player one. I also then tried to delete the whole single player folder, didn't help.
Do I have to uninstall the whole game and reinstall it to fix this?

It does sound like it installed incorrectly. I would try contacting one of the Bioware people about it first and wait a few days for a response.
I know that cuts into the game time, but...I'm not sure what else you could do aside from uninstall the game and the toolset. Then delete EVERY file pertaining to both and then trying to reinstall them. Even then, there's no guarentee that it'll work. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

And I did a mistake by deleting the singleplayer.cif, I think I accidently deleted it from the actual game, not from MyDocuments as I should have. Actually, I still don't seem to have even that folder in MyDocuments from which I should have deleted it. Strange. I guess I have to ask some of the staff about this. Luckily I'm not going to be able to play the game anyway in the next few days, busy with other stuff. And luckily I too have a full back up save of the game in another hard drive, if I need to uninstall and reinstall everything. Not the latest saves, but at least I've not lost any of my characters.

Deleting the SinglePlayer.cif folder is a mistake alot of people seem to make. It SHOULD be in the module folder but..meh...you said you looked and it's not there so..yeah...*scratches head* I dunno...

I am testing the head morph on another computer now, I installed a fresh copy of the game and toolset on it, I hope it'll work there. I suspect my toolset download was somehow corrupted the first time, since our connection is so slow at home, so I'm abusing the University fast connection now hehe.

I've managed to add a face I made in the toolset to the in-game character creator, but I just can't find away to change attributes, talents .etc. I cant even do what was mentioned on page 1.
The reason for all of this is because I can't find the stupid (charactername).das file in my save slot. I don't know know if its got to do with where I saved my custom morph or what file type I saved it as. I saved it as hm_Aedan.mrh.
Please help me I have no clue of what I must do
