From Wikipedia:
"Dragon Age: Origins received AbleGamers Foundation Most Accessibility Mainstream Game of 2009 [106] making it the most accessible game for gamers with disabilities for 2009."
Bravo. As a disabled gamer, I support this kind of recognition.

What makes DA more accessible for gamers with disabilities than other games?

I have one arm.
you can't enjoy Mass Effect with one arm. I got burned on Hellgate: London too. I had to leave WoW in part because I could play it, but I couldn't tank Malygos without 2 hands. Most games I call a buddy in the industry before I buy just to ask him if it is handicap friendly.
There also was a thread on the DA2 forums about subtitles. A few deaf people chimed in and said it made the gam playable for them.

Very nice! It's amazing how such a complex game as DA can still turn out to be handicap friendly.
