I'd pay $79.99 for Mass Effect 3 if it was 3D ready.

As long as I could play it without having to use 3D...optional, I mean.

If ME3 uses 3D at all I wont buy it. I'm not going to help technology advance in the wrong direction.

Some people like me have to wear glasses to see I can't stand wearing 2 pairs of glasses at the same time. If they invent a 3D system that doesn't use those damn glasses I would be all for it, but as it currently stands, I'm not really wanting to play a game in 3D anyway.

Seriously?  Again?
Let me summarize how this thread will go for the next few days before it gets locked:
Majority: We don't care.
Gaxe: But 3D is awesome!
Minority of people who actually understand how it is supposed to work: It's not ready yet, it's just a gimmick.
Gaxe:  Nowai!  3D is so much better than it used to be!  Everyone should want it!
Majority: But we don't care.  We just want the game.
Gaxe: 3D is too awesome to ignore!  If you don't like it, you're not a real gamer!
Moderator: Again?  *thread is locked*

We hope this summary has been useful to you.

Also, we don't care.

Why is 3D a bad thing?

It's an add-on, unnecessary for most people, that would make the game more enjoyable for other people. So, what's your problem against it?

Well, I'm not paying $79.99 for a feature I'm not going to use, though I suppose that wouldn't preclude BioWare doing a 3D Edition alongside the regular version if they wanted.

The glasses fit outside regular glasses.

I use glasses/contact lenses, and I have no issues using the 3dvision glasses when I'm using my glasses instead of lenses.

Being that I'm partially stereoscopically blind, I would not approve of this.

Consdireing stuff in games gets cut contsantly to get games out in time and to not go over bugdet, i doubt they'll start investing in 3d just yet, lets not forget taht as mentioned 3d is a gimmick thing, and that many pc's/people their tv's dont even have full hd yet, so why go the next step already (also, games are already 3d so wouldn't it be better to call it 3D²)?

I'm afraid if the gaming industry delves deep into 3D because I fear they will implement at some point actual game mechanics to require 3D viewing (in the future, say 10-15 years from now)...

Why? Because I can't see 3D (I have 1 functioning eye.. the 3D illusion requires 2 working eyes to see).

Yeah would lose me a gamer if Mass Effect 3 was in 3D. Even people with perfect vision can sometimes have problems seeing 3D.

A friend of mine went to an expo with 3D tellys.  Everyone around him was surprised and loving it.  He just couldn't see it. I am the same.  20/20 and can't see 3D

That being said.  If they had 3D elements you could "toggle".then I wouldn't mind that.

How about Bioware add the "remove crosshair" option so they can call it 3D and just charge regular price since theres no reason for them to hike it.

3D it's just the newest gimmick invented for cineman, Tv and games... I don't care a f**k about it. Gimme ME3 in 4 DvDs, with the double of the missions and dialogues of ME2 and I'll pay 99.99$ even if it has a Commodore64 graphic.

Hi folks, I'm a fan of ME franchise and my first post here is going to be just an observation. Please feel free to say that my guess is not reasonable: EA has spoken that its games are going to be 3D ready and ME3 will also be released on PS3 which has already gone 3D. So my guess is, to avoid rework on PS3 and to comply with its parent corporate's policy, Bioware will probably be smart enough to code in the 3D.
