So... what happens when you try to play the game and go on-line?

Looks like you've got the last version and this error refers to a text file, not an actual patch.

ok so installed NWN 2 > updated > installed MOTB > updated > and it stopped with this message:

Can not find patch file: /nwn2_pcx1_modfix_x1.txt

shall i just install SoZ and patch or ... ?

Edit: i've also found it's crashing when i try playin campaign havent tried online yet but i figure it just gunnacrash at this stage like it did fully patched with SoZ installed ..... nwn2 works fine without these expansions >.< weird eh?

because if that txt file isnt important at all then whats my problem ? i have .net framework 3.5 so thats not the problem and i've tried running it in compatability mode under Windows XP sp2 still nothing

if it isn't one problem it's another

no. well, you know, not unless your copies were .. you know.

take a look through this old thread, Windows 7 - Neverwinter Nights 2 issues

It might 'tweak' something .. you've got Dx9.0c?

so i copied my nwn files from the disc into a folder on the desktop then deleted the direct X folder.

then ran the setup and when it asked for disc one i just hit ok and it carried on.

then i deleted motb direct x folder > installed motb and updated.

then i deleted the direct x folder for SOZ and installed and updated which seemed to work fine for me.

Note: my motb and soz are digital downloads from the atari site... thanks for all your help guys =) much appreciated =)
