 You know how when someone is talking if you interact with something else it will cut them off mid sentence?

I have beat ME2 like 4 times and have never noticed this hjappening before...Now for some reason I notice that when someone says something thats not in a direct conversation..they seem to not finish what they are saying as if interrupted...wtf is going on?
