Hello I am a first timeplayer and I need some help. Im trying to get the shard back at the very beginning however I retrieve it but nothing happens. I can't progress the game at all.
Please help

yeah. i went through the lizard man temple thiing and killed them all. I found the chest with the silver shard. I looted it but it didnot give me a dialogue like al the walkthroughs says it does. I went all the way back and talked to the elf man and was told "why did you come back empty handed"

What version of the game are you using? Any expansion packs?
NWN2 was released in a less than ideal state... this might be one of those things that are fixed if the game is updated (were a lot of issues like this in the "early days").
