Finally got back to playing this game and finished it, awesome game, cant wait for mass effect 3 to come out.

Yes, it is an awesome game. I had no idea what ME1 was like when I first played (found it in a bargain bin) and fell in love immediately. ME2, while different in gameplay, is also a superb game.
Very much looking forward to ME3 as well.
