Oh, MW2 is awesome too, I wouldn't pay much attention to the extremely vocal retards.
Also, Nintendo apparently has the best marketing department ever.

That's only counting the console versions. We have yet to hear how much copies were sold on the PC/digital download market.Since Bioware started as a PC developer and DA:O was originally developed as a PC only title,I'm sure it sold well.It should surpass the 1 million+ copies sold this week.
DA should have no problem getting to 2-3 million copies sold, since I expect Mass effect 2 to reach 3 million copies sold(complete improvement over the original, more polished and even more of a shooting game so there's plenty of fans of this genre around).

considering they sold 4.7 MILLION copies on the first day, i doubt Activision cares too much if people don't like it

Totally. I mean, it only sold like 1.2 million in the first day... in the UK.

Its always the vocal people who have issues with a game that get the attention when a game is launched, just like DA's launch

And yeah, im sure its a great game in most respects. They just dumned it down quite a bit...which granted, wont be much of a difference for you consoletards, but for the PC it does effect it...and selling all the copies anyways is just going to convince the gaming developers to make more...i.e., essentially, more crappier games. I bought DAO because i support what Bioware has done and would like them to take my money to continue doing what they are doing. I might 'obtain' MW2 in the future because I'm admitadly curious about the game but the devs obviously dont deserve my money...nuff said.

How many burgers does McDonald's sell in a day? Would anyone call that good food?

I happen to like big macs, but regardless of all that, strong sales do not make a game good, but it's nice when a good game sells well.

DA:O is a game for people that want a good story and a bit of strategy.
I honestly boggle at why people think that they are even comperable on any level, especially a sales level, given the mass-produced, synthetic, ADHD-driven society that we live in today.

I guess I just really want DA:O to do well so more games like it can be made.

I haven't stopped talking about this game for the last week. I've got 4 people I work with interested in buying it now, and 2 of them hadn't even heard of Bioware. None of them had heard of Baldur's Gate.

Plus lets not forget, that the rest of the world (meaning me in Australia and all those in Europe, Japan, NZ etc) are still waiting for the game on PS3.
