Well whatever happens, you can be sure the Council won't help us...
At the rate this story is going, I can completely see Commander Shepard failing to save the galaxy.
It would be horrible if the Reapers destroy everything and leave Shepard alive... and alone. The ultimate kick to the nads for thinking he could stand up to the awesome power of the Reapers!
How are you hoping we'll beat the Reapers? A straight forward battle or something more profound?

That's what Alliance generals think. That's what Reapers expect us to think. That is the mistake of all previous civilizations. They aren't simple enemies.
