I purchased 1600 Bioware Points and bought Leilianas Song, The Golems, and Witch Hunt. I have Patch 1.04 installed. After puchasing them trhough the ingame menu they downloaded but refused to install. Leilianas song showed that I needed to be at version 1.03 (WTF?????) and the others showed that I needed to install 1.04 (again, WTF??????) Now they are back in the available content section but I am down to less than 200 BIoware Points. I feel cheated and I am very frustrated, borderline furious. First of all WTF is goin on here? and secodn of all, how do i get my points back? :(

I also just noticed that my copy of DAO is no longer registered to me on my profile and my new character Theron has not been updated. I just re-regesitered the game with CD Key.
Also, whenever I click on the DLC's in question to download them again from the Available Content section, it says that i already own them. THEN WHY ARE THEY STILL SHOWING IN AVAILABLE CONTENT????
Both WItch Hunt and Leilianas Song are not showing in Other Campaigns. :pinched:

Are you using the same profile on Dragon Age as you are on here? The same login and password?

Everything is the same, but I haven't used it or played Dragon Age for that matter for nearly a year. I'm more interested in just getting my points back....I think there is a problem with my install of XP, DAO isn't the only game with issues right now. I believe a system restore is in order. :(

I wonder.....since I already bought the DLC's, and since I'm getting a "you already own this" message, if I reinstall DAO, will I be able to just download the DLC's and install them since they are linked to my account?
Another thing: Is Leiliannas Song not comapatible with patch 1.04? It was showing that I needed 1.03 but I manually updated to 1.04 right after I installed the game.

You posted this in the gamers' forum for PC Tech problems.  You can IGNORE the foolishness of naming it in a way that seems to say it may be an "official" site, when it most certainly is not, since EA provides official support.  They are where you have to go to file an official complaint.

There is a separate forum for discussing the points problems with other gamers, and still another forum for discussing the screw ups of the web site, which is what your complaint involves, as opposed to any actual problem with the game itself.

But all of the forums here are gamer to gamer messages.  Just as the headers in here proclaim, EA is the actual support, such as there is.

But I can tell you that IF you had your DLC "authorized", you can safely WIPE your system and then re-install all of Dragon Age and re-download any DLC that you had obtained and it will all work fine.

But if you never had the DLC "authorized" in the first place, that's a seperate problem. You should only have to start the game and log-in to your EA account, wait about (1) minute, then check the "Installed Content" tab of the "Downloadable Content" screen to see all your "Enabled" DLC.

Get on to the EA support site and launch the live chat help option. Give them all your details, including the order number and date of your points purchase.

I don't know what's going on but I also lost my game registration and Bioware points. I hadn't played for months and didn't know about any problems until I tried to play today. Re-registering the CD key caused some promo items to disappear. EA support were able to bring them back for me but the issue of points has been escalated to a higher level so I'm still waiting for that to be sorted out.

EA will ask you why you took so long to report a problem & you will end up repeating over and over that you had not played for awhile. At least you can tell them you are not the only person here to have this problem!

I fixed it! AND I found the save games form my old Level 16 character! Wonderful! All I had to do was open up services.msc and switch the Dragon Age: Origins Updater service to automatic startup. No idea how THAT got screwed up, this is the first time I've ever accessed Services for this install of XP. I HAD noticed that DA Updater was running a lot and using up 50% of my CPU. Now the DLC's are back in the "download progress" section and are installing. Leiliannas Song is already good to go and the others are "extracting." Thanks Tabak! You sent me to EA and that's where I found the article (http://support.ea.co...etail/a_id/2247)

Where can one find the official inventory expansion mod from Bioware? It is required for my save game.

Im running the steam version on Windows 7 and I don't see the DAO: Updater service in my service list. If I try to run the DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe, it says it has to be run with an installer, etc. Does anyone know how to get it to run on Win7?

It isn't included in the Steam version. DAO is updated by Steam itself.
