As someone who produces adult Dragon Age content, I also /facepalm when I go to a mod site (DA or other) and the nude and sex mods are the most popular. I am glad the OP found some helpful community members who guided him to something more his taste.

and I dnt know the age rating in other countries - hee in germany is the whole game (without mods!) for people 18+ . The rating is another point to discuss, it depends also on the violation and other things.

And as a women in a age of parent as I am - its MY responsibilty what my children are playing and doing with the computer and internet. MY and not the charge of the games and sites.

Pornography sells there's no doubt about it, as in real life so it does here. Especially if the people downloading are teenagers or old farts with nothing better to do. These mods have a right to exist however offensive. The consequences are discouragment and dissapointment to people who actually want to enjoy the new graphics/modding capabilities without the vulgarities. That's the world we live in though, and this won't affect Bioware's sales so they don't care if their most popular mods at the BSN are smut.



The only solution is better organization and categorizing the created mods according to content (as is done elsewhere). You can't stop the 15year old kid from downloading anything and endorsing it, and that's fine. Just make it so the rest of us (meaning modders or old style players) are not discouraged/disgusted.

I'm not playing pope, but sapphos make everyone in the game a ****, and with bad writing as well. I can appreciate sex, but not just sex for sake fo sex. No need for vulgar language too. I guarantee I will recommend everyone not download your mod now that you abuse me. All you do is prove that you and your mod are not worthy of number 1 spot.

DA is an 18+ gaming experience and is likely to include content that you might find in, say, an 18-rated movie. Sex and Violence [and flashing images] etc. So the violence is ok with all the beheadings and backstabs and messy kills and any number of other explicit killing moves, but the sex is somehow to be treated differently?



If an "Adult Only Content" listing was to be implemented seperately from, uh, weapon and armour and quest mods, I would have no problem with it. But, after all, the game itself is adult only content, so...



And if I had authored a mod that was being put at the back of the shop, so to speak, I would be pretty miffed myself; so I sympathise with those of you [several of whom are my friends] who find yourselves in that position.



In the end, none of the mods are mandatory and everyone can and should exercise their free will, and play the game with the additional content that suits their tastes. I know I do.

What I'm saying is that certain mods should have their own category or be only in nexus. Right now they're only giving legitimate modders, quality mods, and BSN a bad name.

if a find something that is not fitting my taste - so I will delete this and thats it.

what is right - to ask here in the forum to find other mods. thats fine, the right way and good to get answers here.

but I dont understand the "mission" against a project. its not necessary.

and there is no reason for other mods to do no promotion or publicity for there work. there are a lot of mods worth to play too... but you should do more to make them public. and to let you know - in our forum and project there is promotion for some of your mods too, cause we are playing it .... not against other mods. never.

Yes, because everyone knows porn, especally internet porn, is usually well written.

I saw these mods and just ignored them. The only mod I downloaded until recently was one to add a storage chest into the player camp. I'll have to look at some of the other suggestions mentioned on this thread.

The description of the mod made it pretty clear what was in it. No need to download it in the first place if it doesnt interest you, right?

I like the idea of separating the mods into categories though. If nothing else it would help to find mods you are interested in.

everyone like she/he wants it, likes it. we ware adult people with the right to have are own taste... good or bad in the eyes of other people... and no reason to have someone to judge it.

and as a woman, I dont want to hear someone has the mission to "protect" me . Sorry, I protect myself. and there are no insults in this mod in my eyes.

Then he came to a conclusion that BW decision to not to support DA2 with a tool-set is a good thing; ~sigh~ looks like OP doesn’t has a clue about the worthiness of a modding community.
