I thought we dismissed that claim...

Most people thought the Leviathan was Sovereign, since it's discovery almost exactly coincides with the discovery of Sovereign in the first novel, and both were discovered by batarians. If I remember correctly, the Leviathan of Dis was a genetically engineered star ship; that would indicate an organic entity. Reapers are referred to as a machine race indicating a synthetic entity. Here's a thought: what if the quarians weren't the first civilization to build VIs that went horribly AI?
If it turns out to be Sovereign I hope it's at least given mention in DLC or ME3. If it's an entirely different entity and nota Reaper then I hope there'sa DLC or a mention in ME3 regardless.
Or if it was Sovereign, maybe it woke up when the Batarians dug it up and it wiped out a large part of their fleet if they indeed have at least one dreadnought let alone other warships that are used for things other than slaving riads.

Bioware should reveal the origin of the Reapers in ME3 (e.g. who created them, which galaxy they came from,etc.)Yakko77 wrote...

About Leviathan, we'll either see something of/about it in ME3 or it was just a Farscape reference.

As for the Farscape reference, all the Reapers are a Farscape reference.
How so? What race specifically in Farscape, because I've watched all four seasons and they're nothing like Leviathans.
They kinda vaguely remind me of Shadows in Babylon 5 for the first 2 seasons but even that's a poor match once you learn all about what the Shadows actually are

How do you figure they are nothing like the reapers?
sentient spaceship? Check
engineered race? By any logic: yes
Biomechanical? check

This isn't about your "meme". This is about something that has been discussed probably around half a billion times now.PiEman wrote...

If nothing else, knowing more about their origin, who built them and how might lead to a more effective way at killing them that doesn't require the destruction of entire fleets of ships.let alone planets, civilizations and races.
