Well since DA modders have been taking alot longer than I had imagined I want to find some good NwN2 mods.

What Im looking for is a mod that has a pretty good story to it, fairly lengthy as well. Good characters, that have some depth in them and perhaps even some romance :D. If you know any mods that have any of this please please let me know :) Thanks

Harp & Chrysanthemum: http://nwvault.ign.c...h.Detail&id=206

This has romance in it, if I recall correctly. This is a relatively heavy story/dialog based mod. You can't go wrong here.

Trinity: http://nwvault.ign.c...h.Detail&id=405

An "old school" adventure romp. Quite fun. Roleplaying exists, but I'd say this adventure is more about the "feel" of being a party exploring a dungeon rather than a story based adventure. There is a story, and an interesting one at that, but there's not tons of dialog here.

Those are two safe picks as far as mods go. Things like "Legacy of White Plume Mountain" and "Live Forever" are (very) good in their own right, but they're less general adventures. They cater towards specific interests and branches in the RPG community.

And, also, keep in mind this is only from the mods I've played. There are many, *many* out there which are quality entries. I recommend spending some time on NWVault if you want to see the vast breadth of mods available.

I would like to add Pool of Radiance Remastered. This is a re-make of the old Gold Box SSI advendure "Pool of Radiance". I enjoyed it a good deal. I will say that the plot is very linear so if that sort of thing bothers you, you may want to wait before you play it.

Another Mod I really enjoyed was Last of the Danaan. This mod is best played as a ranger, so it is not as general as Trinity of Harp and Crysanthemum, but I really liked it. Not much romance in this mod, but I liked the characters and I found the story interesting.

Serene: http://nwvault.ign.c...h.Detail&id=379

By far my favourite NWN2 mod. Not much choice in the dialogue, but it never bothered me, the humour is so good. The story is good, the characters even better. Gameplay-wise it's not so well balanced, levelling is quick and by the end you'll be buying +8 items, but if you're looking for a story-driven module with deep and multi-dimensional (and likeable) characters and a good romance, Serene is the best there is in my opinion. It's pretty long, too. It's the only NWN2 campaign to ever get me so attached to the characters that I teared up in the end. It's an unusually fulfilling ending.

The top three I remember liking lots are The Maimed God's Saga, Risen Hero, and Sheep and Stone. I haven't played Dark waters, The Corruption of Kiahoro and its sequel Traveller, The Subtlety of Thay, Serene, Pool of Radiance, and tons of other SP modules.

I'm playing White Plume Mountain now with  an elf rogue and five strong heart halfling warlocks.  So, I can't say anything definitive about it yet, but, it is good so far.

I just recently played Corruption of Kiahoro and Traveller. Corruption is average, enjoyable enough to play through but it'd be rather forgettable if not for the sequel. Traveller is much better.

What can be said about both is that they're bug-free, they have very nice exterior areas and well balanced (slow) levelling and fights. They're also both somewhat lacking in the quality of dialogue: you have essentially two options, either you act like a greedy jerk or a noble hero. The dialogue isn't particularly witty or entertaining, but it's not awful either. The first module has very little dialogue apart from the quest dialogue, the second one has some dialogue between the party members, and that makes a whole lot of difference. The second one also has a more imaginative plot and more interesting quests.

In conclusion, Corruption is worth playing only because it's a prequel to Traveller - but it's not necessary or anything, you can skip it without losing much. Traveller is fairly enjoyable, well worth playing.

The Maimed God's Saga actually made me play NWN2 after giving up on it for a year. And now I'm replaying TMGS. Very good stuff.

well if no one else is going to say it I will. Check the signature.

Its a long campaign, all your many companions speak (not deep mind you, more like BG2 level of detail) and if your play past chapter 1 you get a pretty tense story building. Not at a premium on polish but theres very a huge variety of ways to approach your party build, attacks on enemies and set of equipment. And ample time to use them.

I just finished The Maimed God's Saga. I must say, it's even better than Serene. The only things I don't like about it is that it's for Cleric only - I'm not really a fan of the divine classes - and the fact that everyone saw the mark on my forehead and refused to trade with me even though I was wearing a f*cking HELMET! Really annoying. But everything else easily makes up for it: a good story/plot, great dialogue with description, a nice romance with a fully developed character, even some effort to make the gameplay feel more realistic (I ended up usually going to sleep around midnight, taking one quest every day)... You could say it has many of the features that I appreaciate and hope to include if I ever make my own mod. I reached an unusually high level of immersion, considering the limits of the NWN type gameplay.

The only two ways to significantly improve it would be to make it longer (though I'm actually more interested in a prequel than a sequel), or to give it more replay value by allowing other classes and changing the story slightly to make it different for each class.

Highly recommended.
