It's still the best deal you're liable to find for the platinum edition. I bought it, set up all the old mods and haks I used to use, and the game is running great. I was a big time player of NWN1 but never devoted enough time to NWN2. Of course having a better laptop now helps.

Do any of those haks and mods improve the camera control/mouse control?

Indeed. It's again on sale today because it's one of the bestseller deals and they always let a selection of the bestseller deals return on the last day of deals.

I'm really thankful I managed to obtain neverwinter nights 2 platinum while the offer was good. It was a steal ;p.

Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made...Hadn't actually ever played a D&D CRPG believe it or not...Played AD&D back when it was the 1st ruleset, but hadn't played when subsequent versions came out (I still treasure my old books !). NWN2 is amazing--I had forgotten just how good D&D rules are in general (even though DA:O's ruleset and dept was great, I have to say NWN2 is scratching an itch in all the right ways). Yeah Steam!

I bought the pack, and now I wonder: should I uninstall my old nwn 2 game and install the Steam package?

I wonder if it works with TonyK:s and Reeron stuff, and where I should put it? Anyone tried it?

It would appear that it works just like a retail version of NWN2 as far as playing Community Made Modules (known as "mods" due to the filename extension, .mod) as well as installing modifications to the game (known as "mods" due to it being shorter than modification) for enhancing gameplay, getting around bugs and such.

There are some reports of issues, but, so far as I have seen, they are all the same sort that new players of a retail version have: Graphics Drivers, DX9 not installed, .net issues, etc. Other than that, other issues are, as yet, unconfirmed. You should be good to go and it should install itself.  All haks, mods and whatnot should follow standard Haks or Override Folders in the My Documents portion of the installation and NOT in the Programs... NWN2 folders.

If you don't mind me asking; how did you do that? I tried earlier tonight to input my CD Key on Steam and it told me it was an invalid code.

I bought this on Steam because I played D&D years ago... Now I'm completely confused on all the differences in the rules etc. that I played with and what is now D&D - not disparaging either old or new, am just lost...

No worries, you'll adjust in. Let me guess, quit playing around AD&D 2nd edition? Just prior to WotC's buyout? It's going to take some time adjusting, but you'll get there. Heck it only took me about 3 years to get comfy with D&D 3.5 (at least to the point where I no longer rant, anyway.)
