Remember that PS3 code is HEAVILY optimized for that platform. I won't bother buying or downloading the ME2 demo for it (I already own the other two versions ) but I can imagine that it doesn't carry much graphics fine-tuning.

I don't know about looking better than the pc versions, but it DOES look better than the xbox version, in my opinion. The textures are more detailed, lighting on character models is much smoother and more realistic, and edges don't have that occasional "low-poly" look when viewed at certain angles.

Though I have noticed that ps3 gamers aren't as excited, certainly. I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that the PS3 seems more popular with a different crowd of gamers, ones that are more focused on the pretty than the play. It might also be due to the fact that the ps3 doesn't seem as popular... but that could be my own bias. I bought a ps3 as a blue-ray DVD player and so I could play Drake's Fortune, and was extremely disappointed to find they still had the same ugly, uncomfortable controllers as the ps2.


EDIT: By the way, just as a pre-response to any of the console fanboy extremists that I'm sure will be flooding in soon... I'm not going to respond to any insults, tyvm. If you truly think playing one console makes you superior, then I am sorry for you.

I am thinking of getting it for the PS3, it would be a great refresher before ME3 hits. (I don't think the xbox360 cares, my two consoles are best friends)

As a PC gamer, I have to admit that the PS3 has better exclusives. So? How does that make a console better than the other, or how is it relevant to our topic? ME2 is going to be available to all consoles other than the Wii. Deal with it.

As for the 'Did PS3 gamers like it?', the demo scored 4.43/5.00, I'd say that this is pretty good.

It is easier to walk in the PS3 version. In the 360 version, you just breathe in the analogue stick & shepperd starts running in the normandy like a mad man lol.......I do think the fanboy thing is blown a bit out of proportion. Most PS3 owners also own 360's, vice versa.

This, why would PS3 owners get exited when they already have tons of far superior PS3 exclusives to play, what you Xbox 360 fanboys consider to be awesome the PS3 owners would call them "Meh". Why play ME2 when you can play MGS4, Uncharted 2 or God of War 3?

You rarely see a PS3 user complain about missing out on Xbox 360 exclusives however you see Xbox 360 fanboys complain all the time because they want what the PS3 users have, why? Because the exclusives are superior on PS3, thats why.

I play both(ME2 in x360 and U2 on PS3) in hdmi tv and I really don't find uncharded 2 so stunning as Mass Effect 2, uncharded 2 only uses a really live colors that makes the game look really great on the videos, not so great (but sill great) when playing

Where do you get this info from? I love playing games on both PC and ps3 and I beat ME and ME2 this summer.. heck, I was going to re-buy ME2 for the ps3, but the demo was downright horrible. If the final game is anything like it,then I won't be buying the game until I can get it for 10~15$..



Video was awfully compressed, no AA what so ever, awful framerate.. I can't possibly support BW with such a horrible port.. :|

are you also going to argue that god of war III only looks great in the videos, too?
