Enemy that annoys me the most: Howe; his death is so unsatisfying when you are a human noble leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Try using the family sword and/or shield for the killing blows. And I found it a bit amusing to think that when he says, "I deserved more!", I would hit him again!

Using the family sword just ticked me off more because I thought: "Well, I guess I'll use the sword my mum made such a big deal about." Thought I would get a special cutscene or something, but no... just the cutscene of Howe whining. Boo :whistle:

I dont know about anyone else, but the enemy that annoys me the most and seems to always screw me up the most are the Shrieks. I hate when they show up halfway through me winning a fight and dart around like they're on drugs raining blows on my party (especially myself as a relatively low defense mage)

What enemy annoys you the most in a fight?

(husband)

High level archers that use area affect stun, and arrow of slaying.   I also use to hate emmisaries that use misdirectional hex and crushing prison but getting better at dealing with them.

Heh, I just send a sacrifical calf (or party member) ahead to get crushed, them blam the emissaries with mana clash. Job done!

The Blood Mage house in Denerim always garners my full attention. That place is no joke.

Not necessarily my worst enemy, but since I haven't seen it mentioned here, I'll toss the Suits of Armor that come to life in Redcliffe between the main hall and Eamon's study. Having all six of them with Warcry makes physical attacks pretty much useless on Nightmare.

Spiders, I hate them so much, pain in the ass all of them. There is nothing I can do prevent beeing overwhelmed, and they do it so offen, and when you could get up to kill'em they web you, or ****** me off even better with another overwhelm.

Oh Tigress, you're not kidding. I hate that battle! (Then again, I also hate the undead attack. That's probably my most hated part of the whole game).

I'd have to say either Cauthrien (who is a royal pain in the rear to kill) or the Broodmother with all her tentacles and darkspawn buddies...

Yessss!  I always felt they could have done something better with that.

He said it himself: He deserved more.

@Cal - I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Re Broodmother: The frustrating part of that fight is that you can only have two or three melee attackers on her. So, if you've got any summoned allies like the ranger animals or the mage undead helper, or if you're running with a all melee party, you're forced to have some of your melee companions switch to ranged to even be able to attack her.

- Archers using Scattershot. Particularly bad when they come in groups, since they'll be able to use the ability in quick succession.

This. Archery sucks when I use it, yet some low-life enemies can put a serious hurt on me and interrupt my spells using this one ability.

That, and the dragons hopping about like bunnies. Especially the AD. Grrr...
