I just grabbed the platinum edition of NWN2, but I did not select the option to create a folder under Programs.

Now I can play the game just fine, but I see no shortcut or .exe file to bring up the toolset or DM client. Is there a -command I can create off of a shortcut somewhere?

I have the same exact problem... I have been through each and every nook and cranny of those files and no toolset.exe anywhere. I really hope there will be a fix for this because no offense to the people who put hard work crafting the excellent stories contained within but I wanna build stuff.



In what I believe to be a related matter, the fact that all the modules that are in the module folder are set to open with my media player by default. To me it appears that we are missing a disc 2 of some sort. But this is Bioware so I am sure they will fix it soon (and not a blizzard "soon" lol.

update after verifing cache several times steam downloaded the toolset exe and now it works so far.....remember the modules will actually be stored in document folder and you will need to copy the ones from steam folder to doc folder,

I've gone through the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" 7 times now with 100% success each time but to no avail.



What is the name of the toolset file that finally downloaded for you and where is it located?

I've heard something about it being under the tools section in Steam, maybe that helps?

Thanks BartjeD. I had no idea there was a separate Tools download section. Works now.

right so ive found it already and it sitll wont launch, i try to delete it to redownload and it looks like it does nothing tho when i verify it redownloads. But this tool still isnt even opening. Its doing the "game is unavailable" crap and im getting nowhere with it. Ive deleted the .blob file from steam and forced it to update and im still lost in the land of nowhere. It sucks because the toolset is ALL i bought the game for.

had the same problem as wolfinlied. To run it i have to go in steamapps folder of the game and run it from there, hope it helps

1. Open Steam

2. Go to your library

3. Click on "Tools"

4. Download "Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum - Map Editor

Mine won't run from the Tools section of Steam either. If you're experiencing the same issue just open up C:\\Program Files\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Neverwinter Nights 2\\ and then find the NWN2ToolsetLauncher there. I just made desktop shortcut for it.



Hope that helps those of you with a whacky Steam client,. like me.
