After getting the urn of sacred ashes I return to my camp to find that none of my part members are there, and the party members I was just running around with are still following me around instead of standing in their spots.
How can something like this happen? Has anyone else had this problem and can it be fixed without having to do the entire dungeon all over again?
NoteL I have the toolset installed and I have already tried renaming the "Single Player" folder. This did not help.
Party Camp is empty....where did they all go?

Fix for strange issues with my game such as scripts not firing or party interactions not working and “Module will not load”
This is often caused by the Dragon Age Toolset. If you have the toolset installed and you’ve messed around with it (including beta versions), the toolset may be overriding the scripting of the single player experience. The fix:
1) Load toolset, goto tool > export > Empty Export Directories
2) FIND:
Windows XP: My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\modules
Windows Vista: Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\modules
*Delete the single player folder*
3) FIND:
Windows XP: My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
Windows Vista: Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
*Delete everything in this folder*

Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem.

This seriously needs to be fixed. The thought of having to play through stuff I already did with the same character is kinda making me not want to play this game.
BioWare needs to fix the toolset and release patches for problems the current version has already caused.

What's wrong with the toolset? It appears to work perfectly.

It's causing various problems with people's single player games.

A new version and patch for the toolset should be coming out early next week to address this. It's a sneaky subtle bug that we missed during testing since we unfortunately weren't able to get our beta testers full copies of the game pre-release. The problem is that the version of the core resources that came with the toolset have different internal ID numbers on the plot files, including the plot file that keeps track of which followers you've got in your party, so if you export anything that includes core resources (ie practically everything) the game will lose track of the values stored in them. If you then save the game those incorrect plot values wind up stored in the savegame, so simply removing the exported resources won't fix things on their own.
There's a thread at http://social.biowar.../index/114380/2 that discusses the issue in more detail, and includes some suggestions on how to get your party members back by editing your savegame to put the correct values in there manually. If you have a savegame from immediately before you first tried exporting something with the toolset, you might also want to try that again after you've cleaned out your override directories.

This is good news! I'll try that fix and maybe I can salvage my most recent save.
Looking forward to the patch!

I'm stumped at the part where you have to create the binary value for FLAGS_1 depending on which party members you have..

I managed to fix it with info from a primate message i was sent. here it is for others having the same problem:
Hey there, I saw your forum message. Things tend to get jumbled up on there, so I thought I'd respond directly to you.
First you have to get the utility Eizneckam posted (on the second page) at: https://e7m.org/~eiz...tyFlagIndex.zip
Run that utility and it will tell you which key to look for. Mine was 800, his was 788.
Then open your save in the Toolset, open up SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST then SAVEGAME_PLOT_MANAGER then SAVEGAME_PLOT_LIST/
and look for that number.
Copy the value in FLAGS_1 into Window's calculator. I did do a step by step how to use Window's calculator to convert to binary on page 5 of that thread. Let me know if you need more help though, I'd be glad to help.
Paste the binary value into Notepad, the numbers he posted are corresponding positions in the string to set to 1. So for instance, Alistar's flag is the last one in the string. If this is 0, change it to 1 and so on. Anyway, paste that back into Windows Calculator and convert back into decimal and put that in the value.
It's tedious, but it does work. I almost want to write a program to do it for people, but I'm afraid it'll be looked on as a cheat.
Anyway, like I said, let me know if you have any other questions and be sure to read my post if I missed a step here.

New player - slight confused and hope this is the appropriate thread. I've noticed I can no longer use health potions. I have them in my inventory, and on the hotbar. I don't know what a 'tool set' is as discussed above, and see no module folder. Is there a way to regain the use of the health pots without having to return to an old save point?
I'm playing the game straight out of the box, no addons or patches. Many thanks in advance for any help.
Edit: for spelling.

First of all - why didn't you create a new topic?
Second - where are you in the game? Are you in the Fade (dream like realm, where you play only your character)?
Third - install patches, they improve the game quite a bit.

Thanks for the reply.
1) I thought this bug seemed similar to the one mentioned above, hence my comment of hoping I'd picked an appropriate thread.
2) Past Redcliff, ready to venture out on the Chantry board quests. One of the quests is where I first encountered the issue.
3)If I knew where or how to install the patches, I would do so. Found the patch page. Is it still causing issues for people who are downloading it or has that problem been resolved? I'm not savvy enough to mess with a lot of settings, so am leary of putting a patch in that requires fancy footwork on my behalf. Also, if it is stable now, do I just save it and then run the .exe file?
Any help on these issues please?
