Summoner hated this game! I hate the chain combat thing, I ended up mashing my way through it. The story was alright but the camera sucks especially if you're in a city. Some of the graphics are pretty decent for the time but then there are some that look terrible that the first level in the small town it's so ugly!
Evergrace terrible graphics never finished this one, I don't remember exactly what I didn't like about it, it's been so long I just remember getting it for really cheap playing it and hating it.
Tsugunai Atonement: This game sucked you play a knight that gets killed and starts possessing people like in Quantum Leap and trying to change lives. This game was pretty bad to never completely finished this one either. The combat though is pretty good and straight forward standard RPG stuff
Shadow Hearts 3: Way worse than the second one, the 2nd game was alright but after the first game this comedy elements started taking over the series. By Shadow Hearts 3 it was a cartoony lighthearted affair. The first game was awesome but each game was a step down. I finished this one I forced myself through it for some reason.
Suikoden V: This game sounded like it would be awesome! I loved the story and played through most of it but the strategic battles started to wear thin and became increasingly annoying. I got fed up and quit the game
Star ocean: Till the end of time. What the heck was this crap? this is one of the dumbest games I have played. I liked the second one but then it turns out that the whole game is taking place inside of a game and then they escape into the real world and it's a game that everyone is aware of. This is one of the dumbest stories I have ever seen in a game. I hated this
What are some RPGs you hated?

FF Tactics: Advance
Most childish POS ever. After the absolute murder/betrayal/intrigue fest that FF Tactics was, that game was truly pathetic. ARGHHH!

Basically any samey dull JRPG that makes you spend hours grinding through repetative battle sequences to level up. I love the story element to some of them but so much time is spent doing repetative tasks it bores me.

Fallout 3...

Fallout 3 - As a standalone game it's pretty good. After Morrowind and Oblivion.. a bit repetitive.. Same bad animations, same clunky controls.. I loved morrowind.. Thought Oblivion was OK (a step back from Morrowind) and by the time Fallout 3 came out I was like.. "Dude....Bethesda...NEW formula please?"
Two Worlds - EW! Everything...just.....sucked...
Demons Souls - NO story at all...
Fable 3 - Bought it, beat it and returned it in 1 day. Short, mind numbingly watered down, and what the hell was that ending? UGH.
Alpha Protocol - Obsidian needs to get their s*** together.. period.

Piranha bytes is one of the best RPG developers ever, it's just that one can't go out of the window of a house and start fighting hordes of wolves hoping for a victory.
Plus, their level up system makes complete sense. Every X kills or events that made you feel stronger you go to Y trainer because you think you could become better.
You can't just decide. "Oh let's try this! *swingsword* OH a new MOVE! INCREDIBLE!"
Question, what are the corruptors of the RPG world. Games like Dragon Age or games like Gothic and Risen?
I'll go with the former.

I HATE The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age SO much with a passion. The story showed promise, but the turn-based gameplay (which the enemies all too often abused and took advantage of) was stupid, 90% of the powers, weapons & moves were completely useless, the leveling up was slow and tedious, and the ridiculously hard bosses ultimately killed it for me. The last thing I remember doing in the game was fighting the Witch King for the final time, this time with Eowyn as the guest character, kind of like Aragorn and Gandalf, except she was utterly and completely USELESS. You would think that she would be an excellent fighter being an occasional guest character like how Aragorn and Gandalf were, and the fact that she killed the Witch King in the book and movie, yet in the game she cant even dent .01% out of him, and I finally lost after having run out of magic and attack points not long after painfully getting the Witch King down to about half his life and then giving up afterwards. Not to long ago I went online and looked up the ending to LOTR: The 3rd Age out of curiosity despite the fact that I gave up on it years ago, and you know what? THERE WAS NO ENDING!!! It just shows your party helping Aragorn fight off the enemy forces out of Gondor with the aid of the Undead and then begin planning the assault on the Black Gate of Mordor and then the screen cuts to black, and then completely from out of left field you're fighting the Eye of Sauron with NO EXPLANATION GIVEN as to how and why you're fighting him at the top of his tower. And once the fight is over, all that is left are more clips from the movies being played along with wise words from Gandalf, with NO INFO GIVEN as to what happened to your party members and what became of them afterwards. So there, out of all of the few RPGs that I have ever played, I absolutely DESPISE LOTR: The 3rd Age.

I just couldn't get into it, it's one of those games that has not aged well. Playing later WRPGs of the D&D system spoilt me a bit and when it came to Baldur's Gate I played about half-way through the game and realized how primitve and dull it really was. Never actually finished it either. I tried again with BG2 and came to the same conclusion.
The only BG games I like was Dark Alliance but that's only related to BG by name so I guess that doesn't count

I think that the Baldur's Gate games have an extremely unnecessary abundance of combat. I still like them a lot though.
