Anyone know how, or why I would have lost about 8 or so of my characters, and all of my achievements? This has never happened to me before, but it is VERY frustrating. I about cried. Can't even say how many hours of gameplay I lost because of this. I didn't do a reformat, or anything. Just logged in one day, and everything is gone but two of my characters.

When you browse "My Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 2/Save" are all of the folders still there?

*sighs* Nope... nothing. Just the same two that stayed, and 3 I started since.

Hmm... so you lost your achievements, which means your Player1.prf file was deleted and/or reset in addition to the loss of save files. I'm tempted to ask about the possibility of human error/sabotage, but they'd have to know their ME2 data storage, and be pretty malicious, to go after that.

Edit: Yet you only lost some, not all, of your characters. If the game somehow crashed or messed up so catastrophically that it starts deleting saves off multiple characters, I would think you would have lost it all.

Did you lose some saves on the characters that remain, or is it completely compartmentalized - you have all of some characters and none of the others?

Count me completely flummoxed, honestly.
