With ME3 inching closer and closer to release, and the trailer from last month sating people's hunger for more, it's obviously going to take many shepards to really see everything in the game. A roundabout way of asking "How commited are you of a completionist?", How many have you made thus far over the last year and why?
I personally have made around 9, trying to get every LI, with every base covered on decisions.

I originally wanted to see a bunch of different outcomes, but then I thought it might be better if I only had a few. It would make my choices seem more important.

So instead of the 6 I originally had in ME1, I've got 2 (male and female) 100% complete and waiting for ME3.

I have six RP Shepard's and one "what would I do" Shepard. So I guess that makes 7.

I'm working on them, 2 females and one male so far, Angel, Tula and John, and no, angel is not her name sake,

funny thing is, I prefere the female sheps, the male shep is almost 2 dimensional, no real personality, could be the VA.

Twelve. Two mains (the ones I'm doing complete trilogy playthroughs with, and their faces and classes never change) and ten minis (of multiple decision variances where everything's up for grabs).

Well considering their lines are exactly the same, it must be your take on the voice acting :P
Most of the important decisions are just in one direction or the other, but I'm curious to see how things like Tali's loyalty mission play out, if they play out.

1) Tali gets exiled...but nothing else happens.
2) Evidence brought out, quarians in uproar, likely civil warring between the species
3) Tali gets a free pass, choose whether to have them a) fight the geth head on, B) or leave it be.

"Twelve. Two mains (the ones I'm doing complete trilogy playthroughs with, and their faces and classes never change) and ten minis (of multiple decision variances where everything's up for grabs)"

....

1 believe it or not.

I always play "alter-ego" characters. I might go through another playthrough just to try out different classes or tweak my save into a better one. The character however, always acts the same, looks the same, romances the same person etc.

I simply can't force myself to play differently. Tried full Renegade on ME1, couldn't get past Citadel *shrug*

Definitely the VA. The lines and characterization are the same, otherwise.

Like 2 or 3, I don't remember if I actually finished my last Shepard. I had 6 from ME1 that I planned to take through ME2, but I've lost interest in the game now. I'll probably only take my Vanguard into ME3.

Just one, and I play it over and over again. I don't really like to play with a different class, gender or attitude that much, so I just stick to the same. :)

140 I have spent my life playing this game I have not left the house since it came out and am being fed through a bag of saline solution enriched with element zero.

Truly though 3 for ME1 100% and 1 for ME2 with an additional 70% for the second play-through.

Edit and 2 Malesheps for ME1 and 1 Maleshep for ME2 with 1 FemShep playthrough for both

I've made 14 Shepards but I only kept 3 of them. My paragon shep who romanced Liara, my renegade shep that romanced jack, and my renegon shep who romanced tali.

I have somewhere in the area of 20 Sheps. Male/Female is about an even split. I have twice as many ME2 Sheps as ME1 (some have been imported from ME1 two or three times).

I can see why you'd go for that, it's hard to feel like your shepard is tailored to your alter ego when there's 50 bazillion of them, all making different choices for the sake of seeing all the possibilities.

I have two Femsheps, Tangerine and Trinket, and I have others I've used to try different faces/classes. Have far more in ME1, though...Pansy, Courtney, and a few Malesheps, namely Jazzy Jeff, Bryan, and Thurston.

Primarily though, two--Both Paragade, with very different attitudes for the most part. My favorite Renegade is still being run through in ME1, taking my time on her, enjoying Engineer :P

I have two femSheps. One is Paragade and the other is a Renegon. The Paragade is my canon and was the only Shep I had for a long time. I've played my canon numerous times, but the renegon only once.

I will have 5 ready for ME3. I still have to get 4 of them through ME2 first, though XD

Rachel:  Paragade/Sentinel or Engineer
Veronica:  Renegon/Vanguard
Indira:  Paragon/Soldier
Miyuki:  Paragon/Adept
Natalie:  Paragon/Infiltrator

They all romance Liara cuz I'm weak.
