Legion, earlier in the thread you mentioned that this would not be possible with PS3 saves due to encryption; the PS3 ME2 save files themselves aren't encrypted, but the "profile" save file is. Knowing this, is it still not possible to have it work with PS3 ME2 saves?

If you can send me one ME3 save via PM, I'll check it. If it's really not encrypted it should be possible to convert PS3 > PC/X360 (PC/X360>PS3 is probably impossible due to PARAM.PFD file).

So I converted my xbox saves to PC and placed them in the ME2 saves folder, and they show up but when I click on them to load nothing happens, yet if I just click on Resume it takes me to the most recent save. Help?

Forgive the bump but just used your tool myself Epic and it works an absolute treat, copied a PC Shepard to the 360 and then did it with a 360 Shepard to the PC.

Make a folder in your game save directory and put your saves into it.  You'll be able to load them like normal.  I had the same issue as you when I made the jump from 360 to PC, and that's what I had to do.

To make your life easier, make individual folders for each Shepard (Bob Shepard, Megan Shepard, etc etc) so the saves will be catergorized into individual careers instead of being lumped together under a single Shepard character.

I tried this, but mine still won't load.  I had all of the DLC for 360, but none for PC.  Could that be the issue?

So has there been any progress on the PC>PS3 side of the fence? Just curious as I just finished playing through 1 & 2 on PC and didn't realise how much material was missing from the PS3 version due to not having an ME1 save to import.

Hello everyone,
I have played ME1 and ME2 (with DLCs) on PC. Now I want to continue with that Shepard in ME3 on my Xbox 360. I have converted my last ME2 savegame into an .xboxsav using the converter. But how do I get in on my Xbox?
I already configured an USB drive for Xbox usage, but now what?
Do I need another programme? Or do I need to first have ME2 on Xbox to import the savegame before I can use it, when ME3 is released?
Please help me!

Quick follow-on Q: I have ME1&2 on PC but am changing to XB360 for ME3 like a few others above.

I'll do the USB drive prep on XB then copy the converted PC file over to it using Modio but...

I don't really want to have to buy ME2 for XB360 just to get my save on the machine  - is there any way of creating the relevant save folder structure etc. on the XB? Can I just dump the save file onto the XB and ME3 see it and import it...? If not then I'll just go and buy the game but if I don't have to...

I understand the limitations re: the DLC - I'm only interested in importing my character to ME3 so I won't have to buy all those on XB Live ...

I transferred my save from 360 to PC sadly my save wont open. I believe this is due to the fact that I had all the dlc's on 360 but not on pc.

I'm hoping that ME3 will take the save and import it without me having to buy the DLC for pc.

Can anyone confirm if a 360 - PC transfer can work without all dlc that the 360 had.

Thank you Epic Legion for creating this tool. You just saved me at least $60! I had half my sheps on the xbox and the others on pc so I was planning on purchasing both versions of ME3. Thanks to your tool I have moved my xbox saves to the pc and no longer need to puchase the xbox version.

Are you sure that's an individual save file your trying to convert? It sounds like the career file. You need to use Modio to extract an individual save file from the career file.

Go to this post social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/107/index/8279186/1#9392196 It has step by step instructions that will tell you how to transfer saves from the 360 to pc.

Ok, I'm having quite a bit of trouble with this... I used Xtaf to export my ME2 saves, but they come out without a .xbsav, they don't have a file extension at all. I try to open with with Gibbed's and it doesn't work, I add .xbsav to it, doesn't work. I download Modio, doesn't work.

I'm getting quite fed up at trying to export my saves from my 360 to my PC. I'm not even trying to change them at all, I just want to play with my friends that have gotten it for the PC, and of course have my 6 Insanity saves for all classes.

I rly can't believe you are giving advice that easily, after all this time! The community really needs ppl like you! And the sad thing is, i'm not kidding. Your converter site just WORKS. I've been able to transfer a test save from back in the day and recreated it in the pc version. At first some carreer details were missing - but I just needed to manually set flags in the plot table. I've also faced the problem that my DLC from the 360 was missing - but now everything works like a charm. In fact, with this site (and one or two tools ;D) you can create saves from scratch the way you want.

Thank you Epic Legion - your work is really apprechiated! 

If we now just could get gamepads to work in me2 and (soon) in me3 we could unite all this into one flawless guide. Aww, dreams....

I get an error saying Invalid XBoX package whenever i try to open my converted save in modio to inject it.
Save works fine on my PC , I upload it to your site then save as xbox save. The standard name is SaveExport.xbas but i cannot open it in modio 3, or 4 and not even in Horizon. I have no problems modding my current xboxsavegames with gibbed and reinjecting them into my save and playing on xbox.
But i want a all maxed out paragon with all dlc done all crew alive all paragon decisions etc but with Ashley romanced (so no romances in ME2) I have a save like that already wich i played from scratch but i romanced Miranda. But on PC I had max paragon etc again but I stayed faithfull to Ashley so thats the save I wanna convert to xbox but i have tried everything so far and no program wants to open the SaveExport.xbsav from legions site. Can anyone help me or maybe i send my save to you and you try it? im desperate and i dont wanna replay ME2 again from the start
