Just to note, when I went making the folder structure I named the folder "Mass Effect 2 (454108CE)" to match the others. Don't do this, it will add parentheses around the number jumble and the words Mass Effect 2 itself. Just name it 454108CE.
A HUGE thank you to both Ifontokna and Pordis Shepard. You both will never know the depth of my gratitude. Now I'm off to finally play!

1. Successfully get the downloaded save onto my jump drive (Easy)
2. Get the save onto my xbox 360 (Easy)
3. Have the save not be corrupt, unreadable, or in any way not working properly
I have tried a few times to no success, I can get the first 2 parts done, but the save isn't there when I try to load it up on ME2, I've looked to see if the DLC is an issue, but I cannot find where to uncheck it in Gibbed's Save Editor, and I will be getting the DLC shortly. (Hopefully)
I hope this made sense, and I hope someone can help me soon. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply! One more question: how would I deal with extra content from my PC save. I have some of the Cerberus network content and the Blood Dragon armor so would I have to buy it on Xbox Live in order to use my converted save?
Also, you're not taking the tool down anytime soon, right?
If you want load this save in ME2 you need to either buy these DLC's on Xbox or remove DLC dependencies using Gibbed's Save Editor. I can add this feature to my webtool if you need it (I don't have Xbox anymore though, can't test it).
DLC's shouldn't prevent you from importing this save to ME3 though.
And no, this tool won't be removed from server.
Any chance you'll ever make something like this for ME1? I know this is only for ME2 and I can't thank you enough for the work put into this. I actually prefer ME1 over ME2 so I was really hoping to be able to transfer my char's over. I notice comparing the files that both the 360 version and pc version saves are containers holding 3 .sav files (player, world, and state). I've tried extracting them with modio and rezipping the files to .MassEffectSave, but that doesn't appear to do anything. It sees the save file, but can't pull any info from it.
Gamerprofile CAN be extracted, padding stripped in modio and will be recognized by ME1 pc. Problem is that it can't load the saves. I also notice there appears to be some padding in the pc version. I know next to nothing about hex so I'm not sure how to paste that over properly, but it seems like it should be theoretically possible.

This finally worked for me, but even though the 360 recognize the save nothing happens when I try to load. Any ideas why? Thanks!tamerlane88 wrote...
TO EVERYONE WONDERING ABOUT WHICH VERSION OF MODIO TO USE..... you have to use version 3 (I used caps to get your attention lol). Do a google search for it and you find many other places from which to download Modio 3 without having to log in anywhere.
Also, I am one of the many people attempting to convert a PC ME2 file into an Xbox 360 file, and I think I figured out how to do it, I am just waiting for my copy of ME3 for Xbox to arrive so I can confirm that what I did works.
First, I got ahold of an Xbox copy of ME2 (I was lucky that a friend had it). I created a new save on the Xbox, and then moved that save over to a USB thumb drive that I converted to Xbox format (FAT32). Next, I plugged the USB drive with my new Xbox file on it into my computer, and used Modio 3 on it by selecting the option "Open from device" that appears in the main menu. I selected the USB drive and clicked through the following screens that select which profile to open (there should be only one to choose on each screen). After this, another Modio menu appears with your save game details. From there, click on the blue tab labelled "File Contents" or something like that and you should see three files (an autosave, a chapter save, and a Save_0001 file). Right-click anywhere in the white area of the box and you should see the option to "inject" a file. Click that option and choose the file that you converted using Epic Legion's tool. Once this is done, click on the other blue tab at the top of the modio screen (can't remember what it is called), click "rehash and resign", then click "save to device".
Once all of these steps are done, eject the USB drive from your computer and plug it into your xbox again, and move the save file back over to your xbox. Then, start up ME2 on the xbox and you should see your save file in the "load save" menu.
Again, I will stress that I don't know if this works fully yet, because the file won't load on my xbox (I think this is because I owned DLC on PC that I don't have on Xbox). But, it is a start at least, because you can scroll to the save file and details like play time and the characters first name and last in-game location are viewable. Hope this helps, sorry for the long post.

i'd really hate to bump this, but i saw it was edited in 2015 o_o. this seems the best way to ask epic a question about the site. such as, if there is anything i can do since my save file is too big for this? i'm not sure why but my 360 save file is 1.16MB where as a PC save that i just created is 13.1KB. i am assuming it is because my xbox save is like a level 50 something shep with 45 hours into it.
