That's a 1/10th of Asari life span. I don't care what she says, she's young.

She knows that.  She's making a joke by taking human views into account this time, in contrast to her comments about her age in ME1: "I hate to admit it, but I am only one hundred and six."

I'm not angry. Chill out and drop the martyr complex. I have a droll sense of humor, and this is me using it. If you think I'm angry and out to get you, then please chill out even more. Consider that you were the one who adopted the hostile tone, if you recall, in your very first response to me.  I never called anyone racist. I never implied you were racist; I said you sounded ignorant. Which you objectively were, and in a way which seemed incredibly ironic since it's not what I would have expected from you, given your first post.  Again, if you think I'm crucifying you, that's on you, and you seem determined to believe that, so that's why I'm letting you have that one.

Droll sense of humor? If that's the case then you completely suck at it. Sounds more like an weak ass excuse for your unnecessary condescension and the unwarranted insults I've called you out on. You're the ignorant one if you think your posts were funny or that no one would react negatively to them.

Well that was not the slightest bit immature of you, not at all. Again, I never insulted you. I did not say you were racist. If you want to make that claim, quote the post, as I've repeatedly quoted your posts. If you want to say I insulted you, quote the insult. You were the one who took the hostile tone right off the bat. You. Not me, unless I'm to believe that the pet killing comment was sweetness and light? Was it?  When I let you know that you were mistaken about my intent, you had two options: 1) Accept that I wasn't out to get you,  or 2) persist in believing that I'm out to get you. For reasons known only to you, you insist on option 2. I don't argue with people about things they need to believe in. You need to believe you're persecuted, you go ahead. My conscience is clear on this, and you're never going to convince me that I was out to be mean to you, when I know that I wasn't. Stop wasting your time trying to do that, it's not going to happen. In the meantime, chill out.

Can you both knock it off? Take it to PM or whatever so we can all get back to arguing about whether Liara is technically young or not.

Well I don't see how she can't be considered technically young. We measure youth in terms of species longevity and not total time. You don't say a dog that is 14 is young. So bad jokes about age aside, she is young.

Edit: @ Saren: I'll take jail bait over death.

yeah... i was bein a smartass.
anywho, is there anything that compares the lifespan of an asari to that of a human? they live a hella lot longer, but they also get about as much done as we do, only over a long time period

Wow, OK: that was just snark.  I don't actually want to argue about that.  My point was, arguing about that is a much more worthwhile thing to be arguing about than whatever it is the OT flamefest is currently about.

Also:  I already agreed with you a couple posts ago.  She's young, she knows she's young, and her comment at the end of Lair isn't meant to be taken literally.

But using human standards is wrong, because she's not human DUH! That's like saying a Solenodon (yes it's a real animal) is young because it's only...I have no idea how long they live for, but you get my point. And you can walk into a vacuum with out armor because solar radiation would create a backwards ionized bubble that creates a variable influx of ISM that would provide the heat and protection from the solar radiation at which would prevent you from instantly freezing the moment you touched space.

OP is getting nationalities and ethnicity confused. Apart from Jacob, none of the human squadmates look firmly from any ethnicity at all. Can't really see Kasumi's face so we can't tell, but by and large, they're ambiguous-looking. Kaidan and Miranda look like they have Asian genes, Ashley looks like she has some Hispanic ancestry. Hell, even Sheploo looks as though he may have some Black or Indian ancestor. The ethnicity of their face models not withstanding, there was thought taken to make sure they don't look as though they're quintessentially from a particular ethnic group.

"C'mon Officer! She said she was 115!"

As for ethnic diversity, Captain Bailey was totally Canadian.

but she's speaking to shepard, who is a human, so in the conversation, she's the oldest. if i were 15 (im not) and you were 6 (i dont think you are) and you called me young, i could get mad. and your eyeballs would burst out your buttcrack before The reversed ionized bubble stableized. or something like that. i saw it on the internet, therfore it must be true.

Damn it! Now I support Tommy Wiseau for the final boss of ME3.

@thurmanator692 But if the cosign of the lateral forces was 0 than the tempature phase varients of the backlash negative ionized wave would cancel out the pressure loss and the sigmund radiation would reverse polarity and cause space to be a cool 70 degrees and allow you to do freely change momentum by swimming in verticle x shaped patterns...and I hurt my brain writing that.

YES! Do we get a 10 minute long scene of Tommy having sex with a Reaper's data input ports?
