Last i checked the DAO forums a bioware dev stated they were still working on the details regarding preloading on Steam. Any word on this yet. Anyone buy off steam and get the ability to preload yet? Im going with the digital deluxe bcause im not a big box and items collector so i figured i would just get the deluxe edition for the extra DLC. If there is no preloading ill just go to gamestop and buy the reg addition and purchase DLC content if there isnt a preloading option.

Well, its still a week until release... Steam preloads are usually between 24 and 36 hours ahead of release. I am guessing more information will be made available closer to the date.

bought it off steam, still awaiting news on a preload. I will not be happy at all if i have to wait for the game to be released then and only then will i be able to download. The servers will crash and the download speed will be around 100Kb/s. It will take more than a full day to download it if they dont have preloads.

You would think that this close to release date Bioware would have some notion if steam is going to have preloading. They had to have worked out the kinks by now it would seem. I mean...ill be going right by my gamestop on the way home on the 3rd...but i prefer digi download. Hopefully steam comes through.

Well...this close to release and i still havent heard anything from Steam on preloading. I was going to order the deluxe edition but i guess ill just pick up the standard hardcopy from game stop and download the extra content.

Nice...glad to hear it was finally announced preloading. Ive been sticking pretty much to this forum now and hadnt seen the news.
