In that russian preview video (with Dhalsim Hawke) I think I saw a tree, or skill, called debilitation or something. Can't find the video anymore, though...

That's a rogue tree.

Ooohhh.... Silly me

No biggie. You can see it near the end of the video in the OP. I'm sure mages will have similar skills with paralysis spells and things like that (assuming that's what debilitation is).

Something I didn't think of, is that in that demo, we're seeing Bethany's screen. Is it possible that her trees are different than the PC's? I mean, companions get unique skill trees, so does that unique tree replace another one or is it like a specialization? For example, if Aveline has Guardian or Merrill has Keeper, do they replace Entropy or two-handed or something?
You're forgetting that Hawke also has his own character tree, just like Bethany. So there's no need to replace anything - there are 5 skill trees for each class, plus one character tree, plus 0-2 specialization trees.

Do you have a quote for that? I was under the impression that there were six basic skill trees plus specializations, and the character trees were like specializations for the companions. I dunno, I'm confused.

I'm hoping they still have Telekinetic Weapons (and Haste, but that might be silly with the new speedy animations). I like warrior buffs.

I really doubt we'll get Telekinetic Weapons; in that video we see Mind Blast and Crushing Prison in the Arcane School. In this screenshot, going by the color coding, we see what I think is probably Force Field, Arcane Shield, and MAYBE telekinetic weapons (the two crossed swords). http://bulk.destruct...mbat2-620x.jpg At the end of the Creation line (the green icons) the icon is of a little man running with streaks behind him-it's almost certainly Haste.
@ themageguy: So am I, immensely. The more I think about it, I suspect we may end up getting only two spells per element since they didn't want to duplicate anything. I hope I'm wrong, and I could be, but who knows. Those trees certainly aren't big enough to get all of the elements in them, though, even if each of them had only two.

well earth better have rock armor and stonefist. Lol

We know it has Rock Armor, as Mike mentioned it. I would expect Stonefist to be in, and maybe Petrify if we get three. I'd like to summon some sort of Rock Shower a la Gauntlet (one of the Wizard's turbo attacks), but who knows.

It'd be a shame if we got Force Field, designed to make fights boring, instead of Telekinetic Weapons, designed to make warriors awesome. I thought I was allowed to push a button (click a mouse) and make something awesome happen?andar91 wrote...

where did mike mention it andar91?

I can't find the quote, but I'm positive he did. I'll parapharase to the best of my ability. In regards to a comment about sustained abilities, I think: "Mmmmm...Rock Armor. It's quite a bit cooler than just coloring your character brown these days. Nothing better at the start of a fight."
It was extremely close to that.

I cant help but imagine either looking like a mini golem lobbing fireballs or a swirling mass of rocks around my mage.
