Was trying to play a game of BG2 once again. Due to some miracle we were actually able to get a game multiplayer game running through tcp/ip. I am hosting over a lan on a laptop wirelessly (to the router), windows 7. To two players, one on a window XP and the other on windows 7, both connected with ethernet through the same router.
They are able to join connect and play, but randomly once in a while one of them gets disconnected, and needs to rejoin.
It is playable, but very annoying needing to reload the game each time one of them disconnects.
Does anyone know of anything that might help?
Would Gameranger possible fix this problem?
Thanks

Game ranger trys to bypass the hassle of forwarding ports in order for everyone to connect easily. Ive only tested it with a brief MP game with someone else, but it got us connected. Cant say if it would keep you all connected, but it cant hurt to try.
Also make sure all 3 computers have the same mods and patches with the same install order. If the host has changes that another player doesnt, once they come across it, it will cause that player to disconnect.
Im trying to organize a BG2 multiplayer group, theres currently 4 of us, but if one of us drops out, itd be great to grab you guys and have a full party!
The MP thread is here if u guys are interested. http://social.biowar...3/index/5500866
