Anyone else absolutely sold on the game since they had first heard of it?
Me, since the very first screenshots with the Barbarian and the Mage dressed in blue. Was sold.
yep was sold aswell. if i remember correctly, they promised huge battles and so on =) my memory might be faulty though.
though after awhile NwN2 took the spotlight, and after that MoTB, and then Fallout 3.
but i have not been so excited by ANY release, since baldurs gate 2. i just want to experience a good story again, because good stories are hard to come by these days. i believe really do think that this game will deliver a good and well-written story. its Bioware after all =)
so yeah this is bigger than christmas =D

Also considering the fact that I never learn, I'm planning on doing the same with Dragon Age.

And here I am. Putting all my hopes on DAO, as confident now as I was then that it'll be fantastic.

Is no one playing Neverwinter Nights to get juiced for this?
Who else knew they had to have the collectors edition of Dragon Age (for PC o'course) no matter the cost and what it came with?!?!?!?!?!?!

Which is why I like Mass Effect and want ME2 almost(almost) as much as I want DA. I like sex and gore Bioware, but Im getting sick of Marilyn Manson.

I only found out about the game a couple weeks ago, And it seems to be EXACTLY what I am looking for. I wanted a single player RTS in the vein of Dungeon Siege, only more fully fleshed out. I grew tired of the WoW crack, fun game but WAY too much time required. I haven't been this excited in a long time. I can only imagine if I'd heard about it 5 years ago...
It has been a long, long 5 years. There are people here who were twelve when it was first announced.
Incidentally, I think it's interesting you call it an RTS - I think of it more as a real time tactics RPG, since RTS unit production or base-building doesn't really factor in and it will be more tactics-heavy than adventure games like Dungeon Siege. But that's a genre quibble; the focus is definitely on planning and resource management in DA:O combat.
