Come one, guys, this is simple marketing 101 here! I am a sucker for a good deal, just like the next guy.  But I noticed there is no discount if you buy 1600 points, compared to buying 400 points. I was about to buy points but when I noticed this I backed out of the site, postponing my decision to buy points.  That can't be good!

Lure me in, give me a deal, if only a buck!

I'll end up buying points anyway, but  I will probably buy 800 instead of 1600 now....

I noticed the Cryptic points( from a rival company) also do not come in deals, is this some kind of new strategy?

I see it as no disadvantage for buying the amount of points you need. I like it this way.
