I can buy that as being at least part of the problem. The mouths were absurdly small. I don't think it's the whole thing, though. It may be a stylistic choice.

I'd suggest it had to be something of a design choice since the CGI Isabela also has quite an impressive jaw going on.

Ya, that was a revamp I did a while back as that was the only shot we really had to go off of..  However, now that I've seen some new views of her from the gamespot reveal and the inventory shots I think she's fine.. I might tweek her a bit if we get a toolset, but so far she looks much improved from that original shot.. Chin could still use a good trimming off though.

Anyway I think Aveline looks alright.. I mean she's a... How do I word it? Handsome woman, I mean she won't win any beauty pagents anytime soon. But she's quite respectable looking..

Men tend to be more concerned about looks than women. If I see a group of women criticizing a woman's appearance, my first assumption is that she's a looker.

I think there's a gap between Aveline's concept art and her in-game appearance. In the screenshots we've seen, her face is softer with more delicate features, and her body doesn't look that different from that of FemHawke. Her arms might be more muscular but they're covered up as soon as we get to Kirkwall.

I wish she was taller than the average woman.

It would be nice if she was a little bit taller. Though if it makes it easier for cutscenes and such then I am fine with her not being taller. That and perhaps some scars would be the only thing I would really change about Aveline.

Isabela can't really think of anything in-particular I would change. Well... Perhaps the colour of the bandanna, to a warmer colour. Though I am sillily obsessive with colour themes and like the general trend of warmer colours in DA2.

That's the problem with fixed character models. Aveline ought to be at least eye-level with a male Hawke, at least if you ask me.

I assume not every woman here is interested in making Aveline another notch on the bedpost so perhaps some, possibly even the majority, are judging her on very different criteria.

Heh. I think they did alright with Isabella. (And I like her nose in that picture too)

Leliana was supposed to look very attractive but her default face in Origins was kinda creepy. Weird mouth proportions mostly.

Personally I'd prefer Isabela to have more clothes but mostly due to the design potential rather than any specific issue with her.

Hmm I don't know about the looks thing.. When I was in Highschool not a day went by  when I didn't see a girl criticizing another about how they looked/what they wore or whatever.
Then again there were guys who did that too though they were mostly black guys that made fun of your sneakers or tshirt brand or something..

Actually I have no problem with Avelines concept art she looks quite cute to me but I've always had a thing for freckled girls so I'm biased on this. As for the height thing.. Yes I agree she should be a bit taller, atleast a little taller than male hawke or the same height.

Well, that's personal, but I detest this gypsy look.
As for the chin thing, I too find it to be weird looking. She just doesn't look normal. Totally unattractive to me. Eww.

Yeah, that's more like a Steven Seagal chin. And I'm not talking about Steven Seagal from the early 1990s. More the overweight Seagal of his DTV era.
