Alright I'm doing the different Ally achievements, in this case Soldier (Ash) and Krogan (Wrex). I've done about a large % of the side quests already, I've also done all of the ones at Port Hanshaan, including the Dead Scientists one off world. This leads me to the question, now that I'm going to Peak 15, can I take Liara without worrying about it ****ing up Wrex ??
I wanna say ya, with the amount of stuff I've done that it'll be fine but I'm curious.

Well checking wiki the achievement itself is: Krogan Ally (20) – Complete 40 assignments with Urdnot Wrex. Regenerate 1 hp per second (main character only)
Also according to the wiki, assignments are the sidequests. Not sure of the validation of it, but I guess as long as you have Wrex with you for all the sidequests, you should be fine.

I've had wrex with me since recruiting him, and have dried up near every side quest in the game, and still do not have the achievement. I think the 40 number is innacurate, I've done over 45 with him, not including assingments that end by talking to Hackett.

You literally have to do everything possible.....I've done over 45 side missions so technically both Ash and Wrex's should've popped but.....not only is it side quest but story progress as well. So you need to have them with you AT ALL TIMES. You can only spare one of them to do an assignment like Garrus' Dr. Saleon one.
If you've done a crapload of side quests and an ally achievement hasn't popped after Citadel Lockdown before Ilos, then its a little screwy but play through Ilos and you'll probably get it. If you don't thats SOL man. I dunno, this is my first actual attempt to try and get these things.......I've just, played up until this point.

I'm almost sure Wrex's ally achievement is not 40 assignments, I did a playthrough with Ashley and Wrex and I got Ashley's achievement before Wrex's. If I had to guess, Wrex requires 50 maybe 45 assignments.

I just don't wanna wait around Port Hanshaan any longer, but I don't wanna chance not taking Wrex, or Liara either.......so I'm in a predicament.

If you are going for Ashley and Wrex's achievements, I think they need to be present in the major missions, i.e. Noveria. If you want to risk it I would say take Wrex and Liara when you go to peak 15 but you risk not getting Ashley's achievement. I don't think there is much wiggle room on this one I'm afraid.

I wouldn't risk it. I got my Wrex achievement only during Citadel lockdown, and I had him everywhere.

Ahh that's fine, I'd just be missing like 2 seconds of dialogue between Benezia and Liara so it's nothing important anyway

You can always youtube it or just make a save prior to going to peak 15 then go through with Liara then reload and run through with Wrex/Ashley. It doesn't take that long really. Personally, I find all the dialogue with Benezia to be incredibly cheesy so I honestly don't think you are missing much.

I had ash and kaiden since I got them and did NOT stray from them at all.
I got the sentinel ally first, and a mission later I got soldier. Ash and Kaiden are supposed to be the same mission number, correct?
Guess recruiting ash counts as a mission.
