I went on through to http://forums.bioware.com/ > My Account > Preferences with the intention of merging my EA/Bioware account, but "EA Master Account" was gray, i assume that means my account is merged, since im logged in using the same details that i would use for both my EA and my Bioware account.

I recall registering a new account with Bioware to import all of my DLC, not EA, not sure if that means anything.

Anyways i then realised my mistake and have since tried to register my game through http://social.bioware.com/forum > profile > register games. When i input my full CD key (with and without the "-'s) it just says invalid (and yes, im selecting the correct platform!), again i assume this is because it's already registered. It would have to be since i created a bioware account and was able to add all my DLC into game.

But i don't ever recall trying to register through this method so im not sure.

Anyways i can post in all forums except for the "Spoiler forum" it just says that to post here i need to register. Any help would be appreciated.Image IPB

** EDIT ** i just noticed that when i view my full profile, it says no games are registered to this account, which is a problem because as i mentioned above, it tells me my cd key is invalid.

If your old BioWare account is linked to the EA master account, that page will instead show an option to unlink the two accounts. If you're in doubt as to whether the accounts are linked, it's because they're not (or because you're not reading what it says on the page).

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Registering on the old site will create a new account with no ties to third party accounts (e.g. EA master accounts). Registering here means either creating a new EA account (behind the scenes) or selecting one of the options that directly or indirectly connects to an existing EA account. Since you have an account here, you have an EA master account, but it is entirely possible that you have more than one (if you had one before registering here and didn't pay attention when signing up).

If you have never actively tried to register the CD key on this site and received some manner of confirmation, the key should not be registered. If you have and you did, your key is associated with whatever account you did that on. I do not know if being able to download DLC is a testament to the key being registered.

I got it, thanks. Though i've no idea what the problem was. I entered the key exactly the same around 5times and it told me the key was invalid, then it just randomly accepted it. I know the key was right every single time because everytime i started to enter it it'd come up so that i could tab-select it from history, which i never did.. Weird.
